Coronavirus? What's the big deal?

So it's just a coincidence that China has a level 4 lab in Wuhan less than a thousand feet from the market were they claim it started?
The evidence points to SARS-CoV-2 research being carried out at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The virus may have been carried out of the lab by an infected worker or crossed over into humans when they unknowingly dined on a lab animal. Whatever the vector, Beijing authorities are now clearly scrambling to correct the serious problems with the way their labs handle deadly pathogens.

That fear is the same logic they use for religion. What if you’re right and we just die. But what if I’m right and you go to hell.

I’m not saying don’t be careful I’m just saying there are worse things killing more people everyday and we do nothing.

By the way great post well written and great points. I read every word even though it was long because it wasnt full of disrespectful insults.

Look what happens when half the world freaks out. Imagine if we allowed you guys to drag all of us with you.

And it IS killing people no one is saying it isn’t. I’m saying is NOT killing by the numbers you guys claim. We’re at like 50 in the US? That’s not a crazy high number sorry.
I truly respect this reply, to tell someone they insulted you and it was well written shows good character and sportsmanship, i agree with part of what you say and i appologise for the insults honestly just really hate to see people not take this seriously... You are right about the ensuing chaos to come and how fear makes people illogical and irrational, it also creates panic and is not helpful in anyway... and i also dont want to be trampled to death by a crowd blinded by fear and panic (metephorically speaking). I appreciate you aknowledging my point of view and i appreciate your response

Republicans abhor the notion of giving anything to the poor
I'm not a Republican (or a Democrat) but your statement seems a little misguided, from the actual meaning of words sense.

Don't Democrats favor forcibly redistributing, ie, taking things ? Taking isn't giving is it?

Don't some Republicans favor more voluntary giving as opposed to forcible redistribution ? Isn't voluntary redistribution "giving" ?

Why do you abhor the notion of proper use of some words?

It’s ok to disagree it’s how we do it that is important. I was shocked by your post most people that disagree with everyone on here can’t get past the insults to make a point.

PS just because we don’t freak out doesn’t mean we aren’t taking it seriously. I’m doing my part of following the guidelines. That’s really all we can do.

Freaking out and running to the store and standing in line crowding the store, VIOLATES everything we were told to do. Those people gathered over 100 in places they weren’t supposed to and put everyone at risk to buy toilet paper? Selfish Americans.

What's the big deal. It doesn't appear to be particularly virulent. Not many people are dying and the ones that do already have compromised respiratory issues and are in their late 60s and 70s. Most people struck down by it don't even know they were sick. Oregon had to go to a nursing home to highlight the dangers of COVID-19. Why the overreaction and panic? It ain't no big thing.
If you ever wanted to go on a cruise or travel to an exotic location now is the time. It's not gonna kill you and the prices are so good you'll never see anything like it again.
Note: The human race will probably go extinct as a result of a virus, plague or pox but it's sure as shit not this one.
Okay I was wrong. This pox on the world ended up being far more severe than I anticipated. If I had known how protracted the fight would be I would have bought some stock in face masks and rubber gloves. I don't like admitting my feelings but I couldn't have projected more poorly on the bed.

Remember that time when republicans held the house/senate/prez and reduced taxes mostly for the wealthy and gave it back to mostly the middle class in the form of debt? That was awesome.
