Yeah, just checked it. The water in the bucket it sitting at 78F today.
How much peroxide, how often?Just keep dosing it with peroxide, you’ll be fine.
That seems like a VERY small amount. Is that all you find you needed?I use 3% in my reservoir.
Mix 1ml per gallon every 4 days for 2 weeks
Now I use it 1 a week, still 1ml per gallon
My reservoir temp is 73F
I also used silica blast before I add nutrients.
Well...that's cheap! lol. Hmmm...Do you have an opinion on the quality/results of bleach vs. pool shock vs. Hydrogen Peroxide?you can get a 0.01g scale on Ebay for less than 20 bucks
I personally would never put bleach in my res. I dont even clean with it.So, would you recommend pool shock over bleach or hydrogen peroxide? And if so, how much do I add? I was changing the water in the DWC system, once a week. Do I add the chemical daily or just when I do the water change?
Ahhh! That makes sense! You're seeing low pH from the root rot.

Pool shock is the most cost effective way to do it. You need very very small amounts.
Peroxide would be my favored method of sterile res, but you want to use a little bit of a highly concentrated h2o2. 30%+. Its not stable at lower concentration so the store bought 3% stuff has stabilizers in it.
Fair enough. I'm not sure where one buys 30% peroxide from. I'll see if I can dig it up. If not, i will grab a scale and go the "Pool shock" route.
Thanks again for all the help guys! I'll let you know how plant number two turns out!
Theres a reason to buy the "expensive shit"Dude use 3%, you’re w beginner. Don’t but that expensive shit.

it's harder to find b/c of its' explosive nature. but beauty supply stores have 20 something % w/o additives. tell them you want to go blond.I'm not sure where one buys 30% peroxide from

the cheap 3% stuff all has stabilizers in it and they are not required to disclose what they are.
Its great for cleaning, but i wouldnt dump it in my plants.
Yes it costs more, but its safer for the plants and you use 10x less at a time.
Dont give people spotty advice because youre cheap
A lot of grow shops carry it. Nursery/gardening supply shops.it's harder to find b/c of its' explosive nature. but beauty supply stores have 20 something % w/o additives. tell them you want to go blond.
and yet others are saying it fried their plants.
