For someone with an apparently high IQ (apparently:rolleyes:), I had a bit of a "blonde" moment/revelation today & decided to correct it. Feeling kinda sheepish right now...

I've been working on the bulk IB seed production for @beernutz for a few weeks & just realised that I had the donor & recipient's light-schedules arse-about. D'Oh!

I consulted Suncalc.org & found that current outdoor daylight hours at my place are more than what I'm running in the tent, so I swapped them over & reduced the in-tent light hours to 11/13 to initiate flower in the girls sprayed with CS.

This is the ONLY time that the boys get to come first:cry:

Ditched the "Silly Chilli's"

Defoliated & tried to resurrect the ones I had in 1-gal pots (stupid idea from the outset......):

Let's see how they all go from here......

Did I forget to mention collecting a shitload of firewood as well?

'Gotta love Public Holidays....

Trying to dial in a grow can be fun. Here is a detailed plan that looks excruciating but I wonder if it would pay off?

There is a lot of info saying increase e.c by a bit, and supplement co2 at 1200-1500ppm

Do you think there is a benefit to this process? It starts light on, then gets very heavy toward the end.

  • Day 21 of flowering: Begin with 800 PPM, and keep it at that when the extractor isn’t on. When watering, you’ll need to raise the EC every time to raise the CO2 levels. For this first week you’ll need about 1.7 EC using normal irrigation water.
  • Day 24 of flowering: Raise the CO2 to 850 PPM, and the EC to 1.8.
  • Day 27 of flowering: CO2 to 900 PPM and EC to 1.9
  • Day 29 of flowering: From this day onwards you’ll need to increase both CO2 and EC every two days. 950 PPM and 2.0 EC.
  • Day 31 of flowering: 1000 PPM and 2.1 EC.
  • Day 33 of flowering: 1050 PPM and 2.2 EC
  • Day 35 of flowering: 1100 PPM and 2.3 EC
  • Day 37 of flowering: 1150 PPM and 2.4 EC
  • Day 39 of flowering: 1200 PPM and 2.5 EC. From this day onwards, increase levels every day.
  • Day 40 of flowering: 1250 PPM and 2.6 EC
  • Day 41 of flowering: 1300 PPM and 2.7 EC
  • Day 42 of flowering: 1350 PPM and 2.8 EC
  • Day 43 of flowering: 1400 PPM and 2.9 EC
  • Day 44 of flowering: 1450 PPM and 3.0 EC (this is the max EC level)
  • Day 45 of flowering: 1500 PPM and 3.0 EC
  • Day 46 of flowering: 1550 PPM and 3.0 EC
  • Day 47 of flowering: 1600 PPM and 3.0 EC
  • Day 48 of flowering: 1650 PPM and 3.0 EC
  • Day 49 of flowering: 1700 PPM and 3.0 EC
  • Day 50 of flowering: 1750 PPM and 3.0 EC
  • Day 51 of flowering: 1800 PPM and 3.0 EC – This is the max CO2 level you can have in your grow room. Continue the rest of the flowering period without raising anything, and make sure to do that root wash 10 days before harvesting.
Hey Luke,
Where did you get that info? It’s way too high, anything over 1500 ppm co2 is a waste, and you’ll nuke your plants running that high of an EC.

What’s your setup in terms of size, medium, nutes, lights, enviro controls and equipment?

I’ll try and give you a guide. Know you asked and I was OS on hols at the time I think.

I don't decarb before cooking. I'll grind the gear into small bits & place the solids into a jar of warmed-up (ie. liquid) coconut oil & make sure everything is fully soaked & homogenous. Adding a bit of Lecethin granules at this point helps the gubbins get absorbed by your digestive system faster (if that's what you want to achieve - I prefer a slower onset & longer cruise, but your mileage may vary.....).

The whole thing then goes into a pressure cooker on a trivet with sufficient water to process & brought to pressure, then left at 120C for 30-40 mins.

This way, you get decarboxylation & infusion in a single step.

De-pressurise (CAREFULLY!), allow to cool a bit, then strain all the solids out through a coffee filter in a funnel into another jar.

Package in your capsule machine (you DO have one, right?), then spread them out on a lined baking tray & freeze them before transfer to storage in the fridge.

If you don't keep them separated before storage & refrigerated, they'll just clump together & end-up a nasty mess.

What’s your setup in terms of
size: 4x4
medium: coco
nutes: full line of hygen coco with bud candy and mammoth
lights: 600hps in a cool tube and 2 240w cob’s
enviro controls: co2 controller, rh controller, temp controller
and equipment: automatic air dampers that control the sealing of the room, oscillating fan, fans at ground level to redistribute co2, ultrasonic mister for rh control
