I have been given some leds at a good price as the guy had to ditch his gear for a mrs and i csnt figure out what they are the guy said there next level and gave me some screenshots of em said he pulled good i paied like 200 quid for a box of em thaught id use em in me workshop if they dont grow good haha.

Any 1 have any idea wtf they are i aint ditchin my hps less they will match em and no room to test.

Some are hexigons some are rectangle
Rectangles are 4 rectangles strapped up daisy chain to make a 200w pannel.
From a company in uk called mithril lighting

Hexigon ones do the same to 400w i think.
I googled the shit outa them the website doesnt say what chips they use exept 1wat?

The led is white light not blure like pic shows

Led growing is just different... good for shorter plants. Good for shallow canopy grows. I wouldn't bother switching if your doing well with hps

This appears to be similar to a Kroptek Sunstream series fixture.

"In 2017.Innovationn Agri-Tech Group (IAG) was founded by enlite energy and mithril Technology Ltd. IAG is focusing on horticultural solution.Such as LED plant grow light. Container farm,Vertical farm,Environment control system etc. "
Their site has both fixtures.

Most of it looks to be geared toward large scale greenhouse application so its probably some pretty powerful stuff.
Trying to find some specifics still.

What size lights in what kind of square footage are you using now?
30w per square foot of good LED will flower well. 35-40w per square foot is what ive seen as equivalent to HPS.

Do they have any labels on them what might indicate which spectrum version they are or anything like that?

Not sure which of their lights you have but they're decent at 2.2/um J.
So take pics with you phone camera of the actual fixtures and any info stuck on them.Screenshot_2020-02-27-19-40-32.png
If you can somehow easily enough remove the lens array they've got on these, they'd work great in a tent at 250W. But that 60-90° beam angle is harsh. Gotta be up high if theyre on

I looked for a while and couldnt find much, all of the old links I was able to find that went to tech sheets of the lights OP has were dead links. Seems they have pulled all public info about them and have gone secretive over the last few years. They are doing well though as they just opened their own factory in Shenzhen

No writing on them at all no symbols stamps or anything.
Plants i got from seed growing tight and healthy so far

The spread is up the wall in my seed cubard tho haha

So wide lens needs height but doendt they reduce the umol ppfd needed also?

Guy i got em from is a farmer and was testing them for them they said there dialed in for cannabis specificaly.

I have 2.4m 1.2m tent for them il get pics of the other units as i am there soon.

There is no heat on the lights. Heatsink has some heat but not alot i dryed a wet bud on it took me day and half for example from fresh

Runnin a small 4inch and that small room 60x60x200 is 24degree in a 20degree bedroom eith a 200watt amazing20200228_093231.jpg

Wow that's actually a really cool find. Again. I'd remove the lenses if possible. You have for sure the one I posted a pic of, the SunStream. Diodes are probably outdated but they seem to be about 4000K CCT.l and if the 2.2 they're claiming is true, then it's a hell of a free find.

What dya mean outdated? I k ow the guy ran them for only 1 grow then used 1 led for 3 grows said was all he needed at the time.

So do you thi k they will be hps replacements?
Whats the lens angle do? Surely this would help spread the light?

No... 60° is less than even 90° which is a right angle. It does the EXACT OPPOSITE of spread the light. It narrows the light beams into a more concentrated point so the lights are stronger downwards and don't throw their light everywhere which is what you DO WANT in a tent.
Outdated as in there not anything new like Samsung LEDs, but generic 5050's as it says.

So i found a guy saying for a scrogg area 120x120 u need 90degree lense (thats how i grow but 240x120)

Then i find a guy saying this which confuses things lol. But if i remove lenses am i not altering the tested. 2umol also?
What about removing some lenses and leaving some?
And do i put the hps in the cubard and trust these will deliver me the same or better medicine?
Im reading like mad lol somany options. Its hard to compare to an led i dont understand lol
Tha kyou again for your help

Ps i just checked ur threads i knew i recognised u years ago i did research and started building a 3590 cob. I have ur thread bookmarked from 2016 lol amazing honored to have ur knowledge here. /bow

Besides, diffuse lighting is better for the plants than direct light. Exactly because, as I explained briefly already, that direct light gives you less light penetration.

Diffusion also creates better uniformity. Imaging putting distinct circles (100% direct light) on a surface. it's going to be a uniformity mess. Some places will get no light at all while other spots will get multiple times the base light (if you have multiple emitters). The more diffusion you add the better the lights gets spread out and thus better uniformity. That also means you can hang bare COBs a little closer (cutting wall losses) than based on beam angle differences alone.""

Nothing is ever really deleted from the internet. Google has a feature where you can look at archived pages. They scrub the web and keep copies, making them available in their search engine. There are others around also.
