In the ground soil prep questions

I live in southern area of the San Joaquin Valley in California (Bakersfield). This will be my second year growing. I kind of winged it last year, but I did manage to produce some ok buds. This year, I thought I should focus on improving my soil, so back in late January, I mostly followed Subcool’s SuperSoil recipe, but mixed everything directly into my existing soil. I didn’t cover it, but I water it every day or two and every few days I mix the soil up. I fill several 5 gallon buckets with water in full Sun, adjust the Ph level and let them sit 24-48 hours before using the water. As time has passed, I’m having doubts about all of this, and looking for input and guidance if what I’m doing is wrong.

I’ll get the plants into the ground in late April early May timeframe.

Any help is appreciated!

Im sure its just fine. If you are worried use a tarp and wrap it inside but let a little air get at it. Easy to unfold and mix around and will heat up in the sun.

Sounds like you’re on track. You can probably stop mixing and just keep it moist until you plant. Mixing it up pisses off the earthworms and disturbs the microherd

Thanks for the heads up on the mixing - didn’t think about disturbing the folks underground at this point.
