Looking for a quick answer on LED light

Cool! I'll start off with 1xUVA supplement light, and probably get another down the road...

I'm not seeing the small IR strips though. Do you have a link?

Thanks!
He's talking about the QB3. 3 far red diodes per strip.

Is this a good setup? I'll have two of these over my 4x4 (no longer tent growing, using the open room)...

Along with those, I'll have two UVA lights...

They'll be used for flowering as well. Two of these should be good for that footprint, from everything I've been seeing.

When I say two of these, I mean that there will be four QBs in total.
Just a thought but what about the far red spectrum?

I was going to get me a few of these, once they're back in stock...

This thread is a good read for anyone looking to upgrade to LED at the current moment. As far as the knock off's go, I have yet to receive another power source that allows my Samsung cell phone to Fast charge(and I have bought many) amazon and Alibaba.

It's been a few years since I was looking at LED lights. I'm ready to make the move, but there's too much info out there, and too many to choose from.

I'm looking for a 1000w hps equivalent to cover a 5x5 footprint.

What average priced light would you recommend?

What high-end light would you recommend?

I know it's a broad topic, but I'm looking for a place to start looking based on experience

Thanks
I started using LEDs about 5 years ago - I went cheap at the time for a cheap light, then kept at the same price point for subsequent lights. Needless to say, I am running a bunch of MARS 300W equivalents that are pretty inexpensive and a couple of 1000W equivalents that are the same price. All seem to work, but LEDs do degrade, so I tend to stick with a $500 upper limit per tent, and replace every 2.5 years (or after 6-8 cycles). The old ones go into veg tents, and the really old ones go into a clone room. My hydro meter is still spinning much slower than it did with a 600/1000W HPS set-up and the temperature is way down.

If you were to go QB kit style you'd just have to replace your boards every so often, instead of buying a completely new light.

True, however this lets me use the lights for other purposes. I grow more than tomatoes after all.The older ones are great for side lighting, or veg growth and training.

Mars Hydro TS 3000 would be perfectly for your grow area

Outdated, lower quality diodes. They are still using same brand as always only in white, epistar diodes are older less efficient than Samsung.
