Coming to end of first grow. Thoughts?

Coming into what should be the last week of flower on my first ever grow whats your guys thoughts. From what I’ve seen other people do it doesn’t seem that impressive but im not sure thought I’d grab some opinions. Thanks in advance

I wondered that too. Do you have a scope or loupe to check the trichomes? The hairs are saying its time to check them but without any pics of them I can't say if its ready yet or not. It's at least damn close but as reddit always says, TWO MORE WEEKS

I haven’t mate but i will probably get one tomorrow or something as im told its the best and only real way to tell when to take them down. What ratio of clear/cloudy do you have when you bring down and when would you suggest i start the flush? Sorry for all the questions

Up to you really, in general you want as many cloudy as possible, with as little clear and amber as possible. Try and find the best balance between there for you. I personally like around ~10% amber on the majority of my bud, but one of my buddies for instance hates amber and takes em when they're mostly cloudy with some clears and no amber at all.

Looks very much like my first grows of critical kush. Used mollases this time and biggest colas I've grown. Good work hope they turn out as good

Cheers mate. Never grown before so didnt know if what i was looking at was successful. Can you use that mollases in dwc? Also any advice on when to start flush?

I think you can use stuff like floranectar in dwc but I'm not positive about that. Definitely can't use straight molasses in dwc.

Forget about flushing, it's a myth and unnecessary.

Still new at this myself so I don't have much to go on. In my opinion if you get to smoke out of your first grow, then you did great! I've heard some horror stories. I was lucky enough to finish my 1st as well.

As far as it not looking like you see in other grows...it's your first go. They don't need to be pretty if they do the job. Lol.

Best advice I think I've seen on here is that if you think it might be ready, wait a week. It's hard to pull a plant too late

Cheers guys! I’ll look into that floranectar. I used dutch pro nutes and explode. Explode seems to be some pretty good stuff but I’ve never experienced it without so couldn’t comment on advantages of it

Still a good amount of white hairs in there. She is fattening up, keep doing what you have been doing.

Dude those buds look very nice and the plants look healthy. They look like they could go for a while yet. When those pistols go reddish brown and shrivel up then I would check trichomes. I like lots of amber though some dont. I feel like if the plant is healthy and its showing no signs of problems let her buck. Late flower they like to put on weight and bulk up. Its a fine line and personal preference when to chop. I just harvested and the ladies went 81 days from flip. Lots of amber and all pistols brown and shrivelled. In the last week I really noticed the buds getting really dense. I had to chop cause my veg tent was out of control or I would've probably went longer

Yes, they need a couple more weeks about.

Those pistils aren't telling me the plant is ready. The calyxs will swell if you let them. It's way early to be checking trichs if you ask me.

Chopping early is a common mistake. Once you see them fatten up at the end, you will know exactly what to look for. I'm glad I listen to @Thundercat, or I would have chopped too soon my first time and never would of known what I was missing.

They swell big time at the end.
How many threads have you seen here asking if they are over ripe..... None that i have seen. Just early harvests

Gotcha, I was mainly looking at his last pic and the pistils there are all orange and shriveled up so figured he'd be close enough to start checking.
