Brown spots and curling leaves

I finally set up the RO system and found Ca at the store.

Will this supplement be fine?

The RO is after the water softener which stuff I found said was fine. Testing the RO came out ~35tds (was 380) and 8.3ph.

If I add Ca to the RO, it's going to raise the PH more, so not sure what to do from here. Do I get some PH down, then bring it back up with the Ca?

Im sure someone will chime in if im wrong.
But my quick searches are showing that it should work, but you have to mix it into your soil in the proper amount and you cant water it in.
Its slow acting and not very soluble so it wont penetrate into the soil by watering it in.

Lime works well as a buffer but it might take a little while before activated and available. Its primarily used when building or amending soil. It'll work, but I think you're best bet would be to just use a good base feed and start low around 250-300pmms and increase as needed.

Hey All,

Currently vegging 1 photo Indica and 4 auto Sativa together. Having brown spots and curling leaves on the photo.

4x4 area (550 wall watt) led lights.
Temp ~75 average
Humidity ~65 average
Soil - FFHF
Water - Distilled w/ 1/2tsp epsom (all plants)

Ok, I'll do some looking in that thread.

I was thinking (which apparently was wrong) that I could crush and dissolve this for doing the foliar spray.

How old is that

How old is what? The plants are roughly 3.5 weeks.

I would begin by cutting those big leaves in half and getting the other leaves out of the dirt and moisture. let them grow a little before training. then add epsom salt and bat guano and dolomite to the dirt, message it into the dirt. give them a bacteria feed

Just made a run to the grow shop and they recommended using General Organics CaMg+ (https://generalhydroponics.com/camg), which was the only organic option they had.

This is my limit. I always use hydro nutrients, specifically General Hydroponics CaliMagic for my additive. @Tangerine_ has you from here on out!

I wouldn't worry about organic here. I'd buy either GH's CaliMagic or that one, whichever is cheapest. I prefer the ratio of Ca:Mg in CaliMagic but it's all I use so I am biased here.

cutting the leaves will help solve the problem. leaves getting wet from sitting in moist dirt and close to moist dirt will turn yellow and brown. so that is part of the diagnosis without adding unnecessary or necessary nutrients. It will not slow the growth dramatically, but they are not growing properly now, ergo the brown spots or problems.Sitting in the dirt as they are will slow the growth.

OP, I went back and read you first post. (from the other thread) Right away I noticed a pH issue. The wavy leaves is a dead giveaway. The low pH caused issues with uptake, along with the water softener causing additional burn. Right now its like a car that's stalled. You need to get it running again.
My advice - 1/4 tsp/gal Calmag to RO water and ph to (6.2-6.4)

The plants havent used the nutes in soil yet so no need to feed with your FF nutes until they ask for it. Water evenly and the plants will fill out the pots with a nice healhy root ball.

Store the garden lime away for a future outdoor project.
And don't "over love" your plants and feel like you need to run out a buy more products. You don't. Just water as needed and they'll take off and do just fine.

Thank you, my winter table always looks so nice, but by August they all look beat to shit LOL. I never noticed that CaliMagic has Fe! Thanks LOL also thanks for helping this guy. Soil is beyond my pay grade

Yeah, I looked up the difference between our Calmag products, haha.
I use the GO CalMag+ (chelated with acids) but I think the GH CalMagic would work better with my medium (amended coco/peat) with the additional iron. Your plants sure love it.
Winter's my favorite grow time too.
