Root rot + Southern AG, recovering? and nitrogen deficiency

Hello all,
So I got some root rot few days ago and someone on this forum suggested i use Southern AG. Looks like they are recovering right? Should i be worried about the rot on some parts of the roots or just let it be and it will go away by itself? not sure what to do here? I looked at the roots today (see pics ) and looks like im getting some really really white healthy roots coming out of a few of them. This is leading me to believe that the problem is going away.
Now on top of this i think i might have nitrogen deficiency, if u look at the lower leafs on some of my plants they are very yellow but I tried to pull them off and was not able too, so they are strong but yellow. From online research it looks like its Nitrogen issue but what do you guys think?
If it is what would u guys recommend i do?
Im using lucas formula and did a water change not even 3 days ago. I give them 8ml micro + 16ml bloom + 2ml calmag per gallon , my Ec sits around 2. This is the way i have had them going since November of last year and did not have any such issues ( yellowing i mean )
Could the yellowing be caused by the root rot or is it 100% nitrogen issue?
Also its an outdoor greenhouse grow so no control on the water temp but its pretty cold and res is usually low temp.
any and all comments are welcomed :)

Once they are rotted, thats pretty much it for them, they dont get healthy again.
The healthy looking new growth is the sign you are looking for. Good job, it looks like youve saved them.
With the damage you have, things will be slow for a bit while it establishes a new root system.
You can help things along some by rinsing some of the slime off of them with fresh water if you can and more frequent water changes until the slime is gone.
Your issues are likely related and I wouldnt change anything else until they are more recovered.

Thanks man, I appreciate the help. i was thinking that is also the cause since not all of them have yellow leafs and they are in flower stage so could be a little due to flowering and a shit ton due to root rot,
My 1 big question would be regarding rinsing with water the slim, wouldnt that also rinse off the good stuff " the southern AG?

Yeah but thatll get reintroduced as soon as the plant goes back in the res. Getting that slime off will be a bigger help to their recovery.
I got a bucket and cleaned it out and then cleaned out each plant 1 at a time over the bucket to not have to deal with all of that shit falling in my res.

Ok, makes sense, I guess ill give it a day or so to let them get some roots going and then clean them out and reapply the southern AG. This is my experiment to see how Auto's will do outside with no supplemental light during winter lol.

Someone tell me what southern ag is and does ...
they are both beneficial bacteria bacillus Amyloliquefaciens
the southern ag is like 1000x more concentrated or some shit idr the math.
But people use maintenance doses as low as 1ml per 10 gallons compared to 5ml per gallon of the hydroguard and they come out to roughly the same price per liter.

In case anyone wants to know dosing for AG, I added 10ml(total) to my 55gallon res on the 13th and then 20ml(total) again on the 15th. Please note this is not per gallon it's for my entire Volume of water aka 55 gallons.
I plan on adding about 10 to 20 ml every 2 days until everything clears up then will move the dosage down to 1ml per 10 gallon as suggested by some awesome person on this forum.

You should be fine with the 10ml once a week or water change tbh. Its pretty potent stuff and youre already in recovery so youre passed the worst of it.
My system is now also 55gal and I do a 10ml shot on a fresh change and a 5ish ml weekly booster if I dont change it.

Agreed, I'm just really worried and don't want to risk it, so I'll keep going at this peace for a few more days then clean everything and res change then to the amount you recommended.

one thing alot of peeps dont' do is to make sure they get the southern ag way up into the hydroton too. or whatever media they are using. root rot will hide in every nook and cranny. you could either take your nute solutiion in a gallon jug and top feed each bucket really well. or just mix up a strong batch in plain water and do the same thing. get that stuff everywhere.

if the rot is really bad, you could also hit it with sterile for a bit to kill it (peroxide, chlorine) and once it's gone for sure, then go back to southern.

I hadnt even thought about that, good idea. Im going to start recommending a top down wash with a 1/4" ml per gal solution or so as well.
My systems both keep around 3/4 of the hydroton in my pots fairly damp from splashing so I hadnt even considered that.

@rkymtnman THank you so much for recommending souther ag, i got the idea from him and it worked out perfectly. I did exactly that, took a cup and poured the water over the top of each plant to get the SAG all over the growing media.
Once again thanks rkymtman :)

the only thing i would do is cut down the EC a bit while they recover.

@Darknes01 i've used Lucas too. instead of the 8/16, i'd drop it to maybe 4/8 or 5/10 as the roots recover. then go back to 8/16
So what do you use now days? There are so many Fin different types of food that makes a person wonder? are they all just the same shit re-wrapped in different containers lol?
