best va 3000w my question is how many plants could this light cover in 7 gallon pots

You can grow a big plant in a 7 gallon pot. If you figure 4 square feet per plant, that is 80 to 120 square feet of area you need to sufficiently light. Do you have a preference for what type of board you'd like to get or are you just getting acquainted with the technology?

If that's the brand you want to go with, 12 to 18 sf2000 should work depending on the reflectivity of the walls around you. If you would rather go with the sf4000, 6 to 9 units should be enough. Again this is to cover 80 to 120 square feet, and this would give you about 30 watts per square foot with the sf2000 and just over 30 w./sf. with the SF 4000.
