I'm not an led expert but people grow with mars lights all the time. That's an odd shaped tent...but if the light fits in there well...and it's actually 300w at the wall...it should work. And still can use the led?
Your light may be a little large for that tent...does it have a dimmer? If so...no worries.Thank you Jd
Not. Can I block some of the light some how? LolYour light may be a little large for that tent...does it have a dimmer? If so...no worries.

You're gonna have to talk to the led DIY guys. I have some ideas that may head you in the right direction. Buy a new driver with dimmer. Or maybe the actual light has modular components. Maybe you can disconnect some of the led "sections" Not talking individual diodes. You need someone with more knowledge on leds...Not. Can I block some of the light some how? Lol
Led is fine.
As with any light, dont hang it to high, because u dont want your stems to stretch too much.
I like LED..full spectrum, and dont have to deal with heat issues

Cheers Manfredo.any more advice. TiaIt's not too much light
That is strange sized tent, but probably designed for a closet. The Mars 300 watt probably actually puts out closer to 150 watts, but it will be sufficient for your small tent with 1 or maybe 2 small plants, and if all goes well you may harvest 2-4 ounces of bud, or more depending on many factors.Cheers Manfredo.any more advice. You're right....and that's why I suggested just 1 or 2 plants. Or pick up another Mars 300 watt equivalent for probably $25 on EBay, and 2 of them would light things up well, and then you could run 4 small plants!Led is not enough.i would use 3 X 120watt quantum boards there. Cover all the area and get maximum results. The quantum boards I use produce 230lumen/watt. The best hps and CMH produce 120lumen/watt. If u get 0.5g/watt average with hps/CMH with quantum boards you have more chances to hit 0.8-1g/watt if you follow the basic steps
Yes I have grown outdoors before . I do have couple plants going atm . Will harvest at Easter. Nor long now , but I want to try indoors. Doesn’t need to be hydro but . I would like a good harvest. And seem Hps lights and hydro is a good combination. As I was given that setup I want to have a go and learning a lil bit more about indoors coz is something unknown to me.That is strange sized tent, but probably designed for a closet. Did you want to try the hydroponics, or as JD suggested, soil could be easier?
Personally I'd also suggest soil, in 3-5gallon pots, with an organic soil...Then all you will have to do is water them for quite a while.
You've grown outdoors before? Are you going to grow from seed, or can you get a clone or 2 ? Have fun with it, it is a great hobby and you don't have to spend a fortune.
And if you live someplace you can grow outdoors, you could also start a few extras to put out when it warms up...
It’s a hydro Mars 300 watt led.Do you know which model? A lot of lights have misrepresented specs and I feel like it might do me well to have more details.
Do you have a budget you are looking to invest into this project, or are you just looking to make due with what you have for a couple of runs and want advice on how to be successful within your means.
It’s a hydro Mars 300 watt led.
I’ll have a go first and learning a bit more about indoors and will put more money eventually. I would like work with lights that doesn’t hold much heat for example.
Thank you!
