Why would you ever trim the buds? just seems not very smartPossible yield loss, chance of hermies, increased chance of pest susceptibility..What else?
So bend them twice, still better than cutting offMy light spread won't deliver to the tops I bend tho..
You know your space better than I do, I see light on the floor from spillover. Could be in a tent and that's just a wall though. You have to do, what you have to do, but I personally hate chopping any sites in flower. I just feel like it is a lot of stress. My light spread won't deliver to the tops I bend tho..
It was my offcut I had left over, I ordered a trellis with 10cm gaps instead of the 15cm near me. I'm going to dim the lights as much as possible till I get the trellis tommorrow then I put that up but set at a lower height to push them down. I will either bend or super crop depending on the height of the tops. I'm not going to lift the light as the led are small and can't penetrate very far down.Supercrop and be done.
Also, what is the purpose of that screen? It's doing absolutely nothing. It's just in the way. If you're going to SCROG you need to learn how to do it right. I keep seeing pictures of people growing plants and they have a screen over their plants that's just there. It's like people see a picture of someone else with a screen so they do the same. If you're not scrogging properly putting up a screen like that is just a waste of time. And you look like you're doing more of a SOG style than SCROG with the amount of plants you have in there. Yank that worthless screen that is doing absolutely nothing and raise the damn light off the tops of them. If you can't then supercrop the hell out of the plants.
Sorry bro what's is spillover? You know your space better than I do, I see light on the floor from spillover. Could be in a tent and that's just a wall though. You have to do, what you have to do, but I personally hate chopping any sites in flower. I just feel like it is a lot of stress.
Hi Nick,My light spread won't deliver to the tops I bend tho..
Great to know, was hoping that if they are healthy enough they will bounce back.Hi Nick,
Last winter I grew some landrace sativas. Just kept growing...5 weeks of stretch. I had no choice but to trim tops. Did it twice on two plants. Plant grew and yielded like it was...a smaller bushier plant. But any delay time was lost in the 16 weeks it took to finish. An 8 week indica would experience some minor delay. Maybe 2 weeks would be my guess.
