12 COB, what amperage?

Hi guys, first of all saying hello to everybody, this is my first post, hopefully you guys will welcome me and my newbie questions.
OK so first things first.
I have a 8x4x7 ft tent ( I believe so, it's actually 240x120x200cm, hopefully my calculations are correct.)

I was planing to use 12 COB CREE cxb3590 3.5k 80cri, with 4 MW HLG-240H-2100B.
Resulting in 3 COBS per driver.
Are these Cobs enough so I can be flowering at 1400mA? Or should I run them at a higher amperage? Would you recommend a different configuration?
Just wanted to consult you people before buying anything in case I'm wrong.
Thank you for your advices.

Its the right amount of watts for that space. 2100mA is running them quite hot, big sinks or active cooling.

But I thought that as it's a dimmable driver I can run it to a lower amperage...
Incorrect statement?

If using a 1400 driver, I would be under wattage?

What do you mean with BIG heatsink? I was planning on using an passive heatsink.
This one: LMH020-HS00-0000-0000002

It's made by CREE with 55mm height and 110mm diameter. Would they do their job?

If you dim it to 1400 you will only have 2/3 wattage which is a bit low for a 4x8 but ok for a 3.5x7 or so (basicly 2m2).

I recommend this $15, 133mm passive pin-fin heatsink.

Airwalker, doing that I would have the maximum energy efficiency but not enough light for my tent, I would have to use the 2100A to properly light it. Correct?
And, ISAWTHELIGHT, would you give me a reference number because as I live in Europe, shipping from USA is so expensive so I try to buy it from national distributors. Is it better that heatsink because of bigger height?

Hit up @diyled for all sorts of cobby stuff in the uk. He takes great care of his customers and cheaper shipping

The pin heatsinks make COBs an expensive way to go over here.
Unless diyleduk has a good deal on them your looking at £35 for a 133mm pin heatsink and you do need them unless you go for active cooling options. Which with the price of cree 3590s is a chance I wouldn't want to take.

Corey, actually yes. I have been looking to passive heatsink and good ones are very expensive, so I decided to go for an active one. I saw that you people use Arctic coolers (read on threads) what do you think about Arctic alpine 11 pro Rev 2? It's around 12 13 bucks, and supposed to cool a 95w CPU. Would you recommend me a different one?
Edit: Arctic alpine 12 LP
Arctic Alpine 64 GT
These ones have the same price. I can not find the a mount of dissipation but I'm guessing they should do just fine. Anybody tried any of em??

I reccomend you ditch the cobs and use strips or boards, bruv.

I just found the active iceled heatsink here in my country!!
It's 45°c/w, running them at 1750A Shouldn't be any problem right?

And also just read your comment airwalker... Why u telling me that?
I suppose I would get a better price-quality product if I do it myself than buying it. Cxb3590 boards are quite expensive, comparing them to the price of a DIY board.

Just because the LM301B diodes used are so kind more efficient and brighter. The build quality is completely unlike anything else. It's just better technology than the older COB diodes used. That's all man. If you hadn't bought the COBs yet, maybe consider looking at some strips or the boards can be bought for way cheap right now.

I'll stick to the COB man... I am now planning on putting 18 COB, 9 on each 4x4. So what amperage should the driver have? I will buy 6 meanwell hlg240 to power every 3 COB. I was wondering how would they work at a 1700mA amperage. What amperage do you recommend me for flowering? This being said, is the passive heatsink an option as I will not force them to 2100mA anymore?
Thank you and sorry for bothering again. Only 3 weeks left until I will get the equipment so I am quite nervous haha

I would go with the hlg-240-36b or ab type for 3 or 4 cobs a piece, run in parallel.
