After yesterday's "frying" debacle, I pulled the two greenhouse girls inside this morning & gave them a 1/2-strength feed in order to recover & give them a bit of a rest from the heat & sunshine outside.

I've just done a clean-up. Pulled-off all the obviously dead bits, but left any fan leaves that still have the potential for photosynthesis. 'Took the opportunity to get rid of a lot of lower/inner branches that couldn't possibly have survived to finish & provide better airflow to the whole plant.

Whilst it's a bit disheartening to have this happen, it might end-up as a serendipitous learning experience & provide an overall better result. Only time will tell.........

I've just rewarded myself with a capsule from last year's provender  (& a few beers, since it's fucking hot!).

It's Friday night fuckers!

They will bounce right back. Pallets will work well. Get them back under full sun as soon as possable

They were already on pallets inside the greenhouse (check previous piccies). I'm loathe to put them back in there lest this happens again.

Off the ground & in full sun I can definitely do 'though (I've got shitloads of pallets available). They're still only in 3-gal pots, which is a bit of a worry for me, since they've got the potential to dry out again. AND get too big for the size of the plant & just fall over. We're talking IB here, remember

I wanted to see the difference (in identical plants/clones) between growing in coco with artificial nutes vs organic soil (my personal preference). I've discovered it with this episode.

Coco with artificial nutes definitely has a growth/size/speed advantage, but their resilience to high temperatures & ability to ride them out is severely diminished compared to soil. Their size is also going to be compromised by the size of the container they're in.

I could always just take these girls into the bush & stick them in the ground, but that defeats the point of the experiment.

Decisions......decisions.......
