Making LED work in a cool basement?

It takes a few configurations to dial it in but u will. Where to place clip fan, Where to place humidifier, etc....
Really appreciate you sharing the photos of your setup - Hope the drop in humidity wasn't a huge setback! I am working in diagraming out exhaust/intakes. The need to balance a fresh air supply with regulating warmth is going to get tricky I'm sure, but I agree: Just a problem to solve. Cheers.

I might go down to a 2x4x4 tent. Growing for personal use only. I realize that would cut back on my growth potential, but it would also give a smaller volume.
You would be extremely surprised how much product you can grow in a 2x4x4' tent if you do a perpetual.

Dude in my other thread was sharing some photos of his 2x2 setup, and it was really impressive!
The "2x2x4'" was a typo. I meant to say "2x4x4'", which I did fix in my OP. That said, even a 2x2x4' could yield well if run in a decent perpetual cycle (three week cycle).

Got it. Yeah, I think 2x4x4 would be plenty -- but I can fit the higher space so might as well have a little room to grow. I'm more worried about having too much at this rate. I could probably make an ounce last a year these days.

Here's a photo from my perpetual grow I was doing five or six years ago in a 2x4x4' tent with a 400W HPS lamp. Every three weeks, I would cut a bunch of clones off of mother plants, and put them in the cloner. Three weeks later, the best eight clones went directly into flower, and a new batch of clones cut. This cycle went on for a long time. Every three weeks, eight plants would be harvested, and eight new ones would be put into flower, for a total of three batches of eight plants at all times.

I used 2L Coke bottles, spray painted black, and used the 8-bottle carriers I lifted from the side of a local convenience store.

Most growers would be appalled at the conditions I've managed to harvest successful crops under....
Ideal conditions are unique to YOUR space, and cultivar (s) of choice.

Start it up, and dial in the best you can, with what you have, or can get, based on what you are experiencing...
Adapt to the conditions, tweak the controls, adjust the methods, in small increments. Walk the tightrope. Avoid kneejerk decisions.
Nothing good happens fast in the growroom.

My 2x4 in my closet stayed around 65 in the winters (20-30 degrees most days) with a 260 v1 and I had to move my driver into the tent. It would keep it around 82-84 and I could get RH around 60% with a variable speed exhaust fan and run for like 5 minutes off for 15.

Easy to say before I've started, but I am looking forward to it. The end result will be fun and all, but I've always enjoyed gardening in general.

That's great news! I am hoping I can get that kind of mileage by placing the driver in tent. Seems like the easiest way to address.

Im telling ya, an oil drip radiator heater is such a good way to warm up a tent with very little power consumption, safety, and no moving parts.

I'll admit it's a little irrational, but we had a fire when I was a kid that started with one of these.

It was a long time ago, so I'm sure the quality on them is better these days. But it just seems like tent + closet + gone all day with one of these things inside could go wrong muy rapido!

I have portable infra red quartz space heaters (our furnace went belly up in Nov, bought 2 ).....but Id not consider one near my grow tent. Anything else but no fire hazards. When my state goes completely legal, (3-4 months likely) I'll grow in a bedroom upstairs.......more stable environment

Sounds like we might be in the same state. Cheers. Fingers crossed.

There is no way I can leave the house w one of those on . I've thought about it and I would just put one of my cheapy wyze security cameras on the tent that would give me some peace of mind

That's a good idea. Those little cameras are a hell of a deal.

24 bucks and u can talk into it and listen it's great for my dog I have one on him
I have given a few as Christmas gifts and have a buddy who has at least a dozen in his condo. Need to get a few and mess with them - for same reason. Drives me nuts leaving dogs here alone for a few hours. :-|
