If your going 5 days without watering then your pots are too big or you need to add perilite or something similar. You will get faster growth watering more frequently. After looking at my notes...
she was last watered Wednesday morning. So this is the 5th day since her last watering, and she was transplanted on Christmas Day..
so she went like 20 days without water after the transplant.. she was really small though so that’s probably why it took her so long to drink the water the first time..
I’ve never dealt with these big fabric pots before.. I don’t even know if I’m watering them sufficiently because the water comes out the sides..
I need some watering tips for these 7Gallon fabric pots.. anybody got a link?!?
She was THIRSTY!She looks thirsty.
I'm doing a living soil now (no-till), so I don't let it dry out. I try to keep it moist to keep all my micro life happy. I give them water every couple days and they're in 15 gal plastic pots, but my RH is really low. I am still a rookie too, but am learning a lot as I go.She was THIRSTY!
I can’t even be mad at anyone who said she was overwatered.. but I’m frustrated that I held out on watering my girl a whole extra 24 hours..
I’m still a rookie I’m glad I learned sooner than later I guess
I really want to learn how to make living soil..I'm doing a living soil now (no-till), so I don't let it dry out. I try to keep it moist to keep all my micro life happy. I used my old FFOF and added a bunch of other stuff. Lava rock, pumice, rice hulls, bio-char, vermicompost, Craft Blend from Build a Soil, and red wigglers. I just did a lot of reading about no-till, and read Teaming with Microbes.I really want to learn how to make living soil..
Do you have a thread I can read? Or how did you learn to grow with living soil?
