Glad I found this site, I was able to slove all problems I encountered with my first grow by lurking on these threads. I’m 7 weeks into flower, I think its ready to start flushing but I just want some other opinions. Looks like all my tricombs are milky, I’m not looking to get couch lock I need this for all day functionality.

It was proven that flushing ( nothing but water in final weeks ) really has no affect whatsoever on the final product. In fact, in the study, they found the people preferred the weed that wasn't flushed over the weed that was. The people had blindfolds on and had no idea what one they had smoked each time.

I flush myself before harvest but it's just a soil flush to clean out any salt build-ups etc....I still feed right to the last week of flower.

I do it as a personal preference. I can more then likely get away without it but it stuck to me like a bad habit so I just roll with it lol.
I try to see some runoff after every watering, only one issue i had was in Soil, salts built up halfway through flower and 2 of the plants needed to be flushed and reset. Ive never flushed plants before harvest tho.

Take some pic under natural light. From what I see I don’t think you are quite ready anyways. Flushing does nothing. Hell in no till soil you don’t even water enough to get runoff. The best practice to following is learn not to overfed and remember less is more in almost all cases in growing.

Even in that purple light that plant looks like it needs another 3 weeks at least. It's probably just getting into the swelling stage where the bud plump and harden up. It still needs to eat. Whatever you saw on youtube about flushing forget it. Be patient. Harvesting too soon will hurt the yield and quality.

Best I could do, for now. I thought 7 weeks seemed early. Everything I read said 8-9 weeks.

Thats a leaf. Check your bud trichomes.

Flushing isn't going to get rid of any impurities uptaken like heavy metals. I've smoked stuff that i speculate was high in PK booster. Crappy chem taste, fireworks, smell. Probably foliar fed though. Who knows..
