Quick question about LED drivers

I am ordering an HLG 260w qb.
I see it comes with the meanwell HLG-240h driver.
It has a single dimmer screw.
I heard that this is a plastic cheap screw and it has a tendency to strip.
Has anyone installed an external dimmer?
Did it work?

You would need an HLG-240H-C2100B(I'm guessing they are sending HLG-240H-C2100A?) instead of the A. Or an AB would work well.

Anyone who managed to strip an internal potentiometer on a Meanwell driver, has obvious shortcomings when it comes to proper operation of said equipment.

Electrical tuning and calibration type screwing, much like working on a pair of glasses with a small screw driver by hand...not like framing a deck with a 20v drill ect.

I just couldn't fathom stripping that out.

The internal potentiometer "screw" on a MW driver, requires minimal effort to turn, a very light duty flathead screwdriver is all that is required.

I work in Quality Assurance Management...I've seen some of the most 'special' things, come out of the smartest people I have ever met.

I have seen a simple little hack for the meanwell (A) version utilizing a nail ground & cut to size glued to a tire valve stem cap and poked thru the dust cap with a dab of lube on it! suppose it could come in handy for certain situations where you couldnt access the driver easily enuff. Im guessing you probably already know about that but i could post the link if anyone was interested in pics or if im even allowed to post links like that, Im the greenhorn just learning the ropes around here.
