CPU fans and power. advise?

I see alot of people using CPU fans and ect.

I have one in my veg box, using a big 6v battery to power it, cost me like 9$

I'm about to add a second one (well two, the fans from inside an xbox 360)

I was wondering is there a way I can safely connect both the CPU fan and the Xbox fan together, and then plug in?

Any suggestions on easily powering these fans?

are you talking about a computer fan??..it runs on 12 volts..as far as fans from an xbox i'm not sure..it should tell you the voltage on it...you should get a power adapter that can regulate the voltage, they are pretty cheap..

oh, and how many plats do you have?..i have one and i'm only using one pc fan and it works great in my box...but when it gets bigger i'm sure i'll have to add another

the fan out of the xbox is 12v aswell, but its got 4 cords running from it, 2 to each fan, 1 with normal red/black, the other with blue/blown - whats the pos/neg?

and can I put all three on one 12v adapter?

yeah, you should run the two then...do you know what i'm talking about with the adapter?..it has alot of different voltage settings on them..i figure you must know what you are doing to wire them considering you already have them hooked to a battery..i'm using and adapter from and old keyboard for mine..haha

Yea I have pretty good grasp on basic electrical work,

i'm sittin here thinkin what can use, what would use a 12v adapter?

i'm pretty sure..(not positive)..your blue is your hot...i wouldln't worry too much about hooking it up wrong..at that little voltage the worse it would do is run backwards..hehe

for 2?...no...i think it would make the adapter over heat and it would probably burn out quick....if you want to hook both to one..i would say go with the multi settings one..you could probably bring the voltage up a bit without any problems..other then that use 2 seperated adapters

fuck, well the one at the top can keep the 6v battery for now

What do you think would use a 12v (more or less) adapter that just layin around the house?

any ideas?

damn...it's hard telling...a portable phone maybe?...look around with anything with one and it will tell you the voltage on it...you can use a less voltage adapter it just won't work at it's full potential

for the adapter???...it shouldn't be..thats the whole point of it so that it converts the voltage...they will all say 120v...but it should have the conversion on it too...

thats really fucking weird...shit i wish i could see it...it's almost impossible for it to be like that..to complete a circut it has to have at least 2 wires...do you have a camera?

ok the drill charger has a big '12v' on it, I have phone charger that doesn't list the volts.

Drill charger =Imput:120vac~60hz 50mA
Output: 15.3V -- 210mA

Phone charger= Imput 120Vac 60Hz 8W
Output 12VDC 300mA
class 2 transformer
