Messed up my first grow.

Hi there. I am new here, as well new to growing. I have been following lots of threads and learning lots. I am curious as to any good timers. I due to my work schedule I am not home in time to manually run the 12/12. So I was 8 weeks into my 12/12. I noticed a banana coming from my one bud. I didn't realize what it was at that time and didn't really think anything of it. This morning I noticed the lights on too early. After lots of thinking. I realized that my timer had messed up at some point in the last week and it has since made my beautiful plant turn into a hermaphrodite. Talk about a piss off. Oh well I cut it and trimmed it and I will take what I get.

I have 4 clones that I am vegging right now. I am trying LST with them. Hoping things go well like the last plant. What I am worried about is getting a good timer so this doesn't happen again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its a wall style switch so you would need a box to put it in

It is a nice device. You could probably find it cheaper on amazon or somewhere.
