awhile back i mixed all my hydroton and growstones together. You currently you growstones in your WaterFarm set up, don't you?
Oh, okay. So what are you using now? I might switch to growstones down the road because they seem to retain a bit more moisture than hydroton. I think I also heard that they contribute a bit of silica. I could be wrong about that, though.awhile back i mixed all my hydroton and growstones together.
that's what i use now: just the "mixed salad" of hydrton and growstones. So what are you using now?
I don't grow be a shit who consults you.Go read another book! I talk from experience. I know you're leaning more towards theoretical than practical knowledge from your previous comments. You can't say I'm wrong, there's to many variables to take into consideration.
So everybody that finds out from practice they need to run chiller are complete idiots from your point of view? Algae and bad bacteria cultures thrive in higher temperatures. I want complete control, not guessing games.
People often consult me about their grow rooms and setup. The most common issue in hydroponics comes from mixing organics with high temperatures.
I have run both successfully to be fair. I got better results and less hassle going sterile. It all depends on what system you use and what you want to achieve.I don't grow be a shit who consults you.
I run a live system and who are you to say I'm speaking from books? I have plenty of experience either way and telling you that you are wrong. If you can't keep healthy plants in a live system you are doing something wrong. Sterile is a band aid.
I have seen your growth rates and they are very underwhelming
I'm really sorry about that. He always seems to be looking for a penis measuring contest.. We all do things differently that's what's so fascinating about this hobby. There's so many ways to the finish line!Wow, I've never started a thread that turned into a pissing match before. No offense to either of you. I appreciate your help. Just sorry to see it come to this.
No worries at all. I can only liken the experience to seeing two friends fight. It makes things a little uncomfortable but after spending some time here (or on any forum for that matter) it's easy enough to weed those kinds of posts out and find the information that we seek. You're absolutely right about how we all have different techniques to achieve the same goal. I tend to think that the same applies to each of us outside in 'the real world'. As the recently departed Ram Dass was famous for saying.. "We're all just walking each other home."I'm really sorry about that. He always seems to be looking for a penis measuring contest.. We should promote each other and be as transparent as can be. I want to help others, that's why I'm on this site.

I would love to compare growth rates with you. Do you have any current pictures on your plants?
You're all talk and no show that's why I say you mostly talk from books. You always lay down theoretical arguments but got nothing to show for yourself.
Thanks, mytwhyt. I have seen and read through that thread. It's definitely one of the more popular WaterFarm threads out there. I'll be growing in late spring and again in early fall when the tamps are a little easier to deal with. Sticking with the autos for now so those should not get too crazy height wise.Just Be, Don't know if you've read this thread.. https://www.rollitup.org/t/pineapple-express-g13-labs-seed-to-harvest.344359/ The first dozen pages is start to finish.. Have been using only modified WFs or diy waterfarms since I first read that thread.. Here's 2 completed WFs from a few years ago.. Also there's a coco/perlite plant under a 430hps, all three different plants feed the same fert., same ppm.. Bunch of hype about ferts.. Did add silica, and ph down when needed.. It was winter no chiller used.. It's needed in the summer..
Can't help with feeding using your nutes. I only used one fertilizer with the linked grow.. Flora Nova Bloom.. Most of what's in the thread is scattered throughout this site.. For a low profile plant, an Indica leaning plant like the Blackberry would be a good choice..
Mixed Hydro - Water Culture - Coco/Perlite
I'm running two Nirvana Supreme CBD Kush, in 75%coco/25% perlite... In the waterfarms L>R, Blackberry x2, and one Blue Mystic.... The only nutrient used throughout grow will be GH Floranova Bloom.... Haven't used any other fertilizer for years.... It's definitely a lazy mans fertilizer...www.420magazine.com
Just because I don't post dick swinging pictures does not mean im speaking theoretical or from books. It means I would rather not judge knowledge bases on pics.Dec 22 to Jan 2
