Ther is a great benefit to potting your plants up in stages else it’s like putting a size ten shoe on a child and root mass will suffer and be flimsy compared to a well potted up plant and effecting yield it’s a proven fact twice is minimum I would go I usually three pots a 0.7 litre a 3 litre and then final pot usually be a ten and veg in final pot for a few days before flip listen big roots big fruits

root health is important factor and more feeder roots you can create the bigger the fruits and also take care ov roots feed them as well bennys and stims

I will agree about up-potting. Would it not be possible to scoop some soil out and repot now it would defo make life easier in a small pot or solo cup

Really even with such vigor and being autoflower? I had read it was best to do autos in a final pot so as not to stress them during their short veg period.

Dropped the light down to maybe 4" or so above humidity dome. Trying to avoid to much stretching. These are supposed to get up to 55" anyway which is way taller than I really want. Had to add a fan to stabilize the temp. (Starting climbing over 80 when I initially dropped the light.) Humidity is slowly correcting from having opened up the tent. Will keep an eye on them every couple hours to make sure temp an humidity is holding. With having a fan on them now I don't want to blow dry ass air into the the domes which are just sitting on top the fabric potters.

Today I removed the humidity dome to let my girls breathe. They are looking healthy and some reading said maybe it was time to let them breath. I may still cover them while I am asleep or at work for long shifts just to prevent the surface of the soil from drying too much since the root system is presumably still small af and shallow. Anyone care to weigh in on this? A lot of people I seen were saying that humidity domes are more for clones than seedlings. Not sure what to think of that. They look pretty happy today tho. Their first finger leaves are developing. Still feeling pretty amazed at how they are growing. 5 days from seed.

I am still holding the room at 60-70 RH. Not sure if that's good enough not to need the humidity domes. I see a lot of mixed feelings on whether they are needed. I just started getting worried that my soil could develop fungus or mold or mildew or some plague if I didn't let them breathe at all. Anyone?

You don't need the domes, let them breathe. Also , at this stage, more is happening under ground than above so be patient.

Thank you. I really love having the feedback from all of you on here. It is really helpful for a newb like me. Even it is just saying dude don't freak out they are gonna grow lol.

considering you planted them in such huge pots and you're brand new to this I fear over watering is in your future especially with FFOF. Do not I repeat DO NOT add any nutes to those pots anytime soon. FFOF is a very hot (hot meaning has a lot of nutes amended in it) soil even if you mixed it with happy frog. When I was new and was listening to stupid people on youtube, I too planted my auto's in HUGE pots with FFOF. The FFOF plus killed plus me over watering killed my plants and the yield was terrible. I switched to coco and never looked back. I wish you the best of luck, I really do, but having been in the same boat as you and seeing many many many new people doing what you just did I fear the outcome will be the same. Keep us updated.

One piece of advise, if you THINK they need water, wait another day or two that should help prevent you from over watering a little.

Pics attached, first one was me killing my shit with FFOF and over watering. Second is me now with COCO. Took me one year to realize my mistakes. Don't be me. I went from less than oz off 4 plants in a 2.3x2.3 to 12.1oz with 4 plants same tent..... Just saying.

just pay attention to your water habits, if you do that you will be alright. I switched to photo plants a little while. I always up pot with auto's too its not difficult. My light is a HLG QB260

Any pointers on watering habits at this stage? I have done very little actual watering. Mostly just misting with spray bottle.

Hard to judge what the water level is. In big pot with a seedling it's not like I just water to run off.

Exactly, it is not water to run off. Very little at this stage, it does not need much the root mass is barely there yet.
