Aussie Growers Thread

Insulating a container isn’t overly hard. Especially if you gut the walls and floor out first. Or get a refrigerated one with no motor and it’s already done. Burying it would be ultra stealth if you’ve got the machines but they rust out in about 5ish years.
Yea not sayin would be hard to insulate an all that but 40ft container would stik out like dog balls in a backyard

Work on your soil mix and watering regime
I went down the indoor starting path and it's hardly worth the trouble trying to keep plants from flowering etc etc
Trees can be grown without indoor starts in Aust due to long veg times outdoors
I actually put mine in two weeks later than I ever have before
Cldn ya run lights closer to outdoor times so they didn flower once put out say like a 14/10 or something.. Its easy to get caught up in the crap on youtube an all that maybe i gotta pull me head like old mate an just stick with the basics.

Really? It’s common as to see them around here. Even in the residential areas you see 20ft containers in yards all the time as storage. It’s the easiest/cheapest shed and common for rentals because you can put it on a flatbed and take it with you when ya move.

You’d be better off just starting in pots and up potting a few when the roots have filled each pot before whacking them in the ground. Too much rootspace stunts growth as the plants start focusing on roots, especially if it’s a little dry or not enough nutrients.

Buy one, make it a shed for a year or 2, fill it with junk. Buy another one as a “shed” because the first is full and then get rid of the junk ;)

Anyway off topic. Had the brother inlaw down over the weekend an after seein my plants he wants a few clones to start a small wardrobe grow of his own. Do you blokes recommend waitin till the stem is of a certain thickness first or doesn matter. The few i tried out were lucky to be 5mm but they still threw out roots.

Doesn’t matter if they’re health. I’m in wardrobes so keep my shit small, mother’s included, so my clones are generally only 5-10cm long with stems 2-5mm in diameter
