Autoflower lst query

it started to make flower a few weeks ago but no actual budding. maybe the stress slowed or prohibited the staging? It was a random germination so i have no info on what it actaully is.. could i be wrong? would a plant look like that without changing photoperiod

I'd flip it to 12/12 and see what happens. If you let it get too big and it stretches lots you may run out of head space PDQ.

A true auto should be budding at 6 weeks or sooner. I've only grown a few for breeding and the ones I had were budding at 5 weeks.

I just defoliated earlier, should i run a few days before switching? just to let it heal up

Hell no. Plucking a bunch of leaves doesn't stress them much but best to leave them on until the stretch is over at least. They are the plant's solar panels and buds don't need direct light to grow especially in the early stage of flowering.

I tried all that defoliating stuff years ago and it just makes the buds look bigger the way a dick looks bigger after some serious man-scaping. :D

So dudes my girls have stretched out and started the flowering process, im using organic soil, feeding only seaweed and molasses, obviously gonna stop the seaweed cause its high in nitrogen. I am just wondering what is the best organic way of getting phosphorus into her dont rly wanna use high phosphorus bat guano. I have a composte tea called biosys maybe that will do the job ? Ill post a pic of what its got in it, should i be worried about the nitrogen fixing bacteria ? Or is it just minor?

Cheers bros

As the early part of flowering, the stretch, is a big growth spurt the plants still need a lot of N and higher P. After the stretch the need for N and P lessen somewhat and the need for K rises. Excess P and N are detrimental to flowering in the later stages tho still required. As both are mobile the plants can steal them from older leaves to maintain healthy budding. Another reason not to go hard with defoliating especially taking healthy fan leaves from lower down where they aren't blocking light from upper growth. They are still producing food that is distributed throughout the plant.

I wouldn't worry about the nitrogen fixing bacteria as they won't produce significant amounts of usable N. At least not enough to disrupt late flowering.

I hope you are keeping records of what and how much of everything you're using for further grows. Organics is a lot harder for me to grow with so I mainly stick to soilless with hydro nutes tho I have been adding organics to my grows with mixed results. Recently added insect frass and watered in a good dose a few days ago. Giving her some molasses, P/K and mega crop today later. I've done a lot of DWC and plan to return to that in the very near future just to up production.

Ok kool bro and yeah im only leaf tucking as the stored energy in the leaves are used to fatten up the buds, im keeping a grow diary just trashy notes. Really enjoying using organic soil with slow release amendments tbh it pretty much looks after itself aslong as im keepin the microbes happy. Pretty confident to use some of that tea for their next feeding then now cheers for the help bro

Yeah man she looking happy, tbh this is my first auto and this is kinda a test run to dial the tent in before i start the new mephisto genetics, hoping my light will be ok during flower, its not so hot on the red spectrum so we will see how it goes, might end up gettin a spiderfarm sf1000 or something

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS . I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as many are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.
