Ok, then like we both said, I’ll just stick with building 4 fixtures. I’ll start my list of parts I need and start purchasing lol. Good thing I get my quarterly bonus tomorrow cause it’s all gonna go towards this lol

So I can wire em up just how he did in that video I posted?
Yes, he wired his lights in series.

Thats greengene, he owns Pacific lights concept(Plc) That dude is one of the smartest guys in the game.... they sell the photoboost strips. Great strips, but availability is always a nuisance...they are always sold out or backlogged

Moral of that stoned rant....Listen and learn everything greengenes talks about when it comes to Leds....he knows his shit.

I used to smoke nonstop when I was in my 20’s but it makes me paranoid now for some reason lol. I am gonna tey some Sative tho and see if that makes a difference. I enjoy the hobby and learing/trying something new

I was thinking of using those strips but they’re not available till Jan 21st
what the photoboost?

If they could truly guarantee they would be ready by jan 21st for you to buy, i would wait and buy them.

BUT

BIG BUT

PLC has been famous this past year for not keeping their release dates very well or having too many customers on backorder, so anyone new was just waiting months and months and months for strips that kept being insta sold out ...as i said, they are good strips lol

if you are gonna use the J series for sure, just let me know and ill message/tag Mark (Owner of Cutter) and he will pop by to offer any help you might need for ordering parts or pairing drivers or whatever. Hes a legit good dude to deal with.

They sell everything you would need to build your lights, so you never know, he might have some deals on stuff.

No im saying they have been so backlogged with orders this past 12-18 months that i wouldnt be surprised if that date wasnt met. Or the strips were available but because they have so many growers waiting on them, you still might have to wait for the next batch.

If you search the PLC thread you will see a few guys mention how they been waiting forever to get their hands on the strips but are always on backorder or insta sold out lol

Ok gotcha. Like I said in previous post, I’ll just stick with Cutter. One quick question tho, do I need to do something to add red as they’re not in these strips like the photoboost strips? Or do i get my red from the lower kelvin rated led’s?

I was told when i was buying my strips, the 90cri 3000k has so much red already that adding red wasnt needed.

Ok, that’s what i was wondering. So building 4 fixtures, I’m using 8 strips per or do I need more rows than the light in that video! Or am I looking at this wrong? Sry, we were talking about smoking so I said fuck it and hit one a couple times and now I’m confusing myself lmao

Depends how efficient you want to be and upfront cost..

You can run 5 or 6 per 240w driver, running them on the harder side....lights would have to hang higher and you obv lose efficiency

Using the jseries at 25w per strip is running them at nominal(550ma-ish) ( thats hella soft and efficient)
Using them at 50w per strip is running them on the harder side, less efficient but obv much cheaper upfront because less strips to buy

If im using 240w drivers to power each fixture, im usiing 8-10 strips per 240 watt driver.

I used 18 strips per 480watt drivers on my builds, i can basically lay my lights on top of the plants without issue

Using 8 per, i would be purchasing 32 strips in total. U did say they come in 2ft strips correct? So going that route, ill be buying 4 240w drvers? What guage wire di i need? 14g or 16g? I remember u mentioning something about running at 32w per strip but it was prob with different driver
