So I’ve FINALLY found a way to combat the gnats .. cos neem works but the thing is you water again the next day and the neem is washed away and in they come. So now after every water I mist neem over the top of the media and voila they don’t wanna burrow in. It’s a slight pain cos ur meant to use what u make up of the neem in 24hrs but I’ve been using a mix for about 3days before changing and it still seems to be working.

Im gunna go with a cheap mars ts1000 just for now, cant fit the hlg light saber 100 watter in my tent, 10 cm too long. I should still get a decent harvest, 1 plant grow maybe. Hope my mars dont catch fire. Gunna have a fan blowing over light, heard they get hot.

Why not just buy a single hlg board kit instead of the Saber?

Why not use Gnatrol ?

i went to order some Plant Therapy the other day. The 2oz bottle is free but shipping from the states was about $50. So that was a no go.
No wonder China does so well, everything from there is free shipping!

Dont know what one, my grow space is only 50 cm deep, 1 metre long
So the Mars ts1000 is effectively a cheap hlg single board

For that space the Sabre strip would be a better veg light. Could veg a with a single board but the spread would be shit or 2 hlg boards could flower that space.

Agreed, when you have it under control it's just a nice warning sign to have, as you mention.

But if you have an existing infestation you need something to kill the adults as well while the larvacide does it's thing..
Adult life cycle is so quick it’s not really an issue if your treating the larva properly and traps don’t really impact larger populations anyway. they’re used as in indication to whether the treatment that’s being used is working by counting numbers ie 1 sticky trap per meter checked weekly will tell you if numbers are declining or growing. They aren’t, nor should be, considered a treatment

In Ag it's called the "economic threshold",that's the point at which the cost of the control is less than the cost of damage caused by the pest or disease
