hey guys, I’ve had this seed planted for a almost 2 weeks now, it took a week just to pop to the surface and now it’s been sitting like this for several days. Am I just being too impatient or is there something I can do?

Yea it doesnt matter. Check if the seed is still attached and if the root goes down into the soil..if not then it probably stalled out

I just had a similar problem and when I dug up the seedling (grab it by the leaves not the root) it had a root aphid on the root! I lost the little guy but I haven’t seen any root aphids since... I used neem oil

Looks like both ends are going into the dirt Do you have other seeds?
The end that is curled up is actually not going into the dirt, that’s the end that you said the cotyledons might have rotted off, here’s a picture from behind. Also I have another seed that I’m growing that looks iffy too but I know what I did wrong with that one, and I’ve got one more I haven’t started at all yet

If all plants are acting strange.. the it’s environmental.. also where did you get the seeds from.. genetics are a big part of this as well

Well my other one definitely was just a noob mistake, I planted it too deep and ended up having to dig it up and replant it, it’s actually starting to sprout leaves now though, so I think it’ll survive

I haven’t measured it nor do I have anything to measure with atm. Idk if a picture will give you a good enough idea
well for starters.. those are not starter pots!
You’re going to see a lot of wacky stuff waiting for those little guys to develop a root system in those pots.. they have to be at least 5 gallons?? I would use solo cups first. Or some 6” plastic pots and keep them in the starter pots until they need water every day. About 2-3 weeks probably

Well I had germinated then with the paper towel method and the videos and forums I had read and watched said they can be put directly in their final pot once they’ve been germinated. But is there anyway I can save that plant? If it’s growing upside down would digging it up and replanting help anything?

That end with the slit is the two leaves its just not open yet. Give it a couple days and see if they green up and open. Looks like the film might still be on the end try and pull that off.
