When to switch from T5 to MH or HPS

That’s a pretty big space! With 650
Watts of light I wouldn’t go much bigger than a 5x5.
how many watts is your hps?
If I were you I would section off a piece of that room for vegging to get the most out of that light... if you put a 5x5 tent or box in the the room you could still have an 8x7 space in there for flower.

This is what I was thinking, putting a tent inside the room and having 2 separate areas...I want to leave my best of each strain in veg so I can clone them...but half are auto..

I’m doing something similar with my grow, you should check out my grow journal, i just posted it so it’s not much right now I’m about 4 weeks from seed also. The only thing I’m thinking could be a problem is regulating the humidity for veg and flower in the same room.
As far as the autos. I don’t know. I would grow them out normally and harvest them. Clone the photo plants and from here on out just make sure you buy photoautotrophs instead of autos.

Photoautotrophs will only flower if they receive a minimum of 10 hours of uninterrupted darkness.
I like to keep my humidity at 50-60% for veg and for clones more like 70. Flower you want it low or you’ll have to face the almighty powdery mildew.. around 40-45%

And I’m not an expert I’m a noob but I’m very diligent. If I’m helping you don’t be afraid to give me a like or something I’m trying to earn some stripes around here

Misunderstanding, sorry...I could run a humidifier inside tent and dehumidifier outside? where I live there is always humidity between 60-100%...veg loves it but I will have to monitor during flower..

This is my first attempt in 10 years and I am a bit rusty...the misunderstanding was about the types of seeds...auto and photo...I thought you were referring to another type of seeds that I haven’t heard of...the humidity in my room is between 55-70% constantly and temp is between 65 night and 80 day....I have a humidifier to add if need be...I have fans but no true air circulator set up yet..I do open the windows during the day to let fresh air in...I also have A/C unit for those hot days

have you considered air purification vs air circulation?
you still want to circulate the air in the sense that you want it movin, but you could just use those fans.. and you don’t have to bring in fresh air from outside. You could get one for under 150 bucks. Look up germ guardian. They sell cheap heap filters. I personally use a dyson cool fan + air purifier.
As far as the humidity, I haven’t made it to flower yet but I’m probably going to get one of those micro dehumidifiers for grow tents.. that’s my plan so far, but my humidity where I live is like 20% this time of year so i might be good

I have 1 inline fan that I want to get a charcoal filter for smell...will the hepa help with smell also?

Not necessarily. The heap filter itself doesn’t clean smells, but most of them come with some type of carbon material and those would clean the smell

I guess if you only have a few plants under it might be ok but theres no way you have enough wattage for a 8x12 foot you would need 4 times that amount of wattage at least

I have 18 plants which cover maybe 1/4 the room with 600w over top...I’m thinking I need to put them in a tent inside the room to direct the usable light to the plants

I have holes in my buckets and overflow pans under them.
