HPS and LED together?

Hey everyone i am just wondering if its ok to combine a 600W hps/cmh with a 300W COB LED to flower my 5X5. I have used a combination of 3 LED lights to get a total of around 800W for flower in previous grow. I want to hit 900W with the two lights instead of getting 800W with three. Thoughts? Thanks

I use them both together with no issues. I like to use two QBs between each xxxl hood for the tall girls to get close too. That way the tops of the 7ft+ girls still get direct light from the QBs and not get bleached from the hps's.

Hi CO,
I mix LED with CMH and am happy with the mix. The cmh with their infrared warms up leaves to open stoma...without having to have room at 80 degrees.

And my LED has spectrum adjustment so I can have more blues during stretch and more red finishing.

Iv mixed before especially when it's cold and I need the heat from a hps. You'll be fine never had any issues

It will work great just do it. They will rock it out big time you will probably see way more frost production

This sorta cracked me up. I gotta say keep experimenting...it's a good attitude to have. My first grow was 45 years ago...not much technology back then. And our knowledge was pretty slim too. So you will, for sure, do better on your second grow then I did!

First time ever growing i figured i did pretty good. I did a lot of research and with a minimum budget put together a pretty decent set up. Its upgrading as each grow go by. I ran six plants and got 12 oz. Very good to smoke, tasted awesome after proper drying and curing, and it got me very stoned, so mission accomplished first attempt
