4x8 dwc each one 27g tote? Advice welcome

Hey curious about running 5 27gal totes in a 4x8. One tree per tote.
5 gal buckets is too much maintenance so figured 27 would be better. Sound good? Figured 27g would also allow for more stable ph

Recirculating could really cut down on the maintenance if that's your goal. If you have 27g totes 1/3 to 1/2 full, say 15 gallons, that's 125 pounds of water in a tote, very heavy. Would you ever need to move them? Would you do res changes? Top offs? I've seen some neat "tote" dollies...

You won't fit 5 "trees" in a 4x8 without over crowding. 5 smaller plants is doable but 4 would be more manageable... is it really worth the hassle in 27 gal totes? You could do 2 bushes and get decent weight if your environment is on point. Iv' been running dwc in a 4x8 for about 10 years and have tried many ways to maximize yield and found 3 plants work with a lot of pruning but 2 works much better especially if using scrog method. Here are 3 examples of 1, 2 and 3 plants in a 4x8.

Thanks man! I believe that single plant was a 10 or 11 week veg...I could have went another week or so to completely fill in the corners but I was getting impatient, the 2 plants was about 7 weeks and the 3 plants was a 5 week veg but probably could have cut it down to 4 weeks because I remember doing a lot of pruning to keep the 3 different strains separated from each other. I remember my first grow in that space was with 4 plants with a 4 or 5 week veg time and it was not very manageable. The last 5 years that tent has been used for testing new nutrients or testing how different strains react to scrogging or basically keeping great genetics in the stable while keeping the plant count within limits while newer strains are being grown out elsewhere. The latest test was converting from dwc to coco and trying different coco blends and feed amounts etc etc...and the results were so good we have now totally switched the op from dwc to coco. Nice pic man, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Im just about to build a aero system for my next run or two, i was debating between rdwc or aero, went with aero, ive been in coco for the past year, i love the coco, just looking to try something different, see what i like. Im still a newbie grower in the grand scheme of things, so its all a learning experience.

Thanks, only started growing last November, so its been a process.

Ya im thinking if i was running an op similar to yours, i prob wouldnt have much extra time for journals either lol

It would be multi auto strains. Maybe I’ll stick to four.
Random question but tricomes weren’t fully cloudy some were still clear and started to herm rodelization style. Are some stains just never 30% Amber
