ACE Ethiopian

Hi Allalo,
Nice start with some interesting strains. I'm an Ace fan and have grown Golden Tiger...and have some Zamaldelica seeds as well. Interested in your freebies. I'm currently growing some indica freebies. Lately it seems I'm having better luck with my freebies then my chosen strains. lol

How did that Golden Turn out? I just put a bunch of them back in flower after reveging some flowered clones. I expect them to be finished by March or earlier. I found 1 spectacular pheno but I'm sure a few others have potential.

Hi Shua,
Turned out pretty good. I screwed the pooch drying my Thai phenos and they smoked pretty harsh...but still made for some great extracts. My Malawi phenos yielded 9 quart jars. Already did cannabudder and qwet extractions and get some serious sativa highs with 2 snickerdoodles and a few bong hits. Reality was shimmering at the edges!

But I am going all regular from now on. I like making seeds and doing crosses and shit...and prefer not to include femmed genetics into the mix.

Yes I almost exclusively go for regs for that reason, I used the GT to make seeds with some Plushberry about 8 weeks back, they're ready for germination now I'd guess, I'm germing a few now as we speak. I plan on doing so soon with an f2 I've made of strawberry Daiquiri, super squat mom I hope can tame some of the Thai stretch.

Hmmm...sounds interesting, but not familiar with either. I'm doing an indica run right now...freebie seeds. I have 2 Motarebel strains...Snake Eyes and Gorilla Jam...and a wacky weed strain called Strawberry Dog Shit.

Not sure if I'm cut out for landrace sativas. At least not in coco. I may go orgaanic soil if I do. Been thinking a lengthy training...like mainlined to 16 colas...may help control all that stretch and height.

These are the Ethiopian (23 of them, but there is a leaked cut from another strain there). There is diversity among them, which I consider positive.


And these 6 are the Panama x Malawi:



The hybrid vigor or heterosis is easy to notice in these. They are growing faster than anything.

hi Ailalelo, I grew a few and they had very little smell until cured, and then was straight banana smell. good high, not paranoid, makes me gabby.

As expected, the ugly specimens among Bangi Ethiopians have started to develop normal sprouts and leaves. Most of the plants look OK now.




The Ethiopians are growing well in their 1l pots. I don't know if I should flower them now and repot in a month or so. Or should I wait a couple of weeks and repot and send to flower the same day?

They can stretch too much, but they don't seem to be growing very fast. I guess that indoors environment is not their favorite place!

such wide leaves on those bangi's for an Ethiopian cross its a surprise. that's interesting. my ethips were so slow starters too. Im not sure the best way to flower. I topped node 2 to try for 4 mains and think I got 3 on one and 2 on the other. being that was unsuccessful it wasted time by topping node 2. They ultimately stretched pretty much I would guess maybe from 1 to 2.5. by that i mean if 1 ft at flip then 2.5 ft at end.

I planted both the Ethiopians and the Malawi Panama 7 weeks ago and I've just decided to flower them already to sort the males as soon as possible. I'm totally out of space, that's why.

They are still tiny, about 20 cm tall, and I've started to trim the tops of the taller ones. I find their growth very restrained under that spectrum (3500 ºK). It is lovely for vegetative, there are just some cm between plant nodes.

I think I've never put to flower such little plants. Let's see.

These are the Bangi Haze x Ethopian. I can't believe they look so different to the Ethiopians. I suppose these wide dark leaves come from their Bangi Haze heritage. I've a got a lot of expectations on these seeds.

Some of them show real colors, as some of you could foresee. And I find that they don't grow much for what I usually get with these sativa leaning strains, according with their origins. I dind't expect that either, so I can say that this cross hides a lot of surprises.

found an ethiop related pic I'm not embarassed by, lol. This is Candida x Ethiopian chuck. think I tried it once it's very weak because Candida is CBD only almost as you may know

I managed to put these twentysomething Ethiopian and the 6 Malawi Panama into this little 80x80 tent under 200W. I have too many things in the flowering tent already. These have been flowering for just some days and it looks that they have finally started stretching.

As soon as I sort their gender I'll put each female in the definitive 3l pot. They've got a thin structure, but I can say their growth is quite contained under these lights.

Looks like a heavy producer. Anyway, I don't understand CBD strains. I smoke to get stoned, I'm not ill, fortunately.

i'm just trying everything to see how it works for me. imho it's not worth it to lose my breath smoking cbd but in edibles it's no big deal if i don't feel much and i'm of initial opinion that adding it to a strong strain can improve my high.

I have OTH about ready to harvest after about 18 weeks of flowering. I think I'll probably go with the Guatemala which they don't sell anymore with the purpose of making more seeds which I do with all the landraces I grow.

Not much to show, they don't grow as much as I expected. 9 days 12/12 and I've already sort some males and females.

Kitty! much less leggy than the ethiopians were but they look like they want to stretch, especially that one on the left.
