Yep or a few cobs would also do the trick.

I personally love my 315 and the finished bud it grows and i got a room full of legit led strip lights, the 315 will always have a place in the garden.... somewhere lol

yeah, i've been a fan of cmh for years. it grows some fire weed for sure. the UV that HPS doesn't provide is the secret i think along with way more blues.

4 of what cobs, driven at what wattage?

You can use more cobs with less power or less cobs with more power.

Some of us get such great quality with HPS that it's plain silly to lose a large chunk of yield to gain a tiny percentage of THC.

I would use the citizen 1212's run them at around 40 watts a pop if I did the 6 and at 4 I would try to shoot for 70 watts a pop but I like having them more spread out and running lower that's imo but if u dont wanna run the citizens i would do the Luminus CXM22's up to you and what u wanna spend per chip

I ran a 630 DE CMH for a bit, it under performed over a 4x4 but on a 3x3 it's overkill at 70 watts per swtf ish. I switched to a 1000 watt CMH and still under performed on yield compared to the 1000 watt DE HPS.

When you do the math on the CMH you end up at 50+ watts per sqft to really do the job right. With HPS like 60. But either will grow when spread thinner, you just spread the yield so you get to trim more buds.

The CMH just lacks the red spectrum balance to get the yields. You can throw more watts at the plant and thats not gonna change the red blue ratio.

CMH makes a great supplemental light in a large grow, to add some UV and blue to the HPS. On it's own it grows great quality but less yield. BTW - If you extract you just care about total resin and the yield makes up for a little resin percentage drop.

If you want the quality and the yields try this. Flower with the 600 watt HPS over a 3x3. Then for the last 2 weeks run the 315 CMH to finish with more UV.
