I see a few growers using a cob/qb combo with success. Thought about it myself tbh
I'm old school and still stuck on HIDs.
I run dual 600s end-to-end in a large Adjustawing.
One HPS and one MH, so mixed spectrum.
It's worked very well for me for some time.

It's hard to teach an old dog etc... but I am looking into leds set-up for a new veg area.

Absolutely fucking Gutted......!

I'm unable to grow anything this year, as it looks like we're proceeding with the house build & I don't want anyone to know about my "extra-curricular activities". Family, friends & especially tradies that could get wind of it.

I was all geared-up to make a riotously good go of it this year, but had to hold-off again & again until I knew one way or the other. 'Built a crude F&D system planned for indoors to start stuff off & then move OD.

'Looks like I'm growing a lot of chillies in tents & in the greenhouses (yes, plural) in coco, with lots of cloning experiments this year........;)

On the bright side, I've got more than enough already stashed to last me several years, but I stilll love growing.

Now I can get that trailer-load of horse shit in & not have to worry about it being too hot for next year's bush plot.

I love hid it’s what I started with, I just struggled to keep my environment right. Because the led prefer slightly higher temps and humidity it’s suited my grow environment more

Yeah, I don't see myself switching from HIDs for flower any time soon but I'm definitely curious about vegging performance.... and also for mums, etc.

i run LED in my propagation area. In summer LED in my little veg tent but in my flower tent i just dont have warm enough temps most the year for them. Sure Jan Feb i would but for two months of the year its not really worth it. Would save a bit in power though. The CMH has worked well so far and it will be interesting to see how it goes over summer.
Dont think i could go back to HPS.

Just an example of the cmh315 and qb288 running in sync together
The 315 was used for veg then the qb288 was added on day 1 of flip
This Arcata ghost is at day 58 now
Granted a few burnt leaves (only on the cmh side )during 40 plus days outside (no aircon used )making the shed hot but apart from that they work really well together
