1st time grow Chocolate kush

This is first time grow. Made my own super soil and bent every branch down to form a wagon wheel from top. I used 2 California light works solar storm 220 full spectrum on top. 2 phlizon 600 watt on each side and a 2ft 8 bulb t5 on side as well. Rotating plant each time i checked on her, thats alot. Fed kelp and molasses once a week thru till now and 2 gallons ph water 6.3, week 10 2nd week of flower. Also foliar fed kelp and molasses as well, 1-2 times a week. Always ph 6.3, goes in 6.3 comes out 6.3. Wasnt always like that. Had crazy leaf curl after week 4 i think due to ph. Humidity 39-50%. 20 hours then 12. 2nd day in flower had timer malfunction and you guessed it, hermie. I have plucked most off with tweezers and she is trying to change some but...there is too much bud and she is solo so im riding it out. Havent found any in the bud itself.
Will post weekly pics from week 1 till now. Oh yah, i was just starting root bound in beginning week 4 so i put her in 20 gallon pot. She just about to stop stretching and she is about 3.5 feet tall and about 4.5 feet wide, week 10.

Will do, thanx for reply. First grow. Made my own super soil mix. Preformed LST and this is what i have. Its 4 ft wide and 4ft tall with colas everywhere. Ive since started cleaning out fan leaves but have newbie nervousness. She is talking to me though. Im a landscaper of almost 30 years sooo. Ive gotten her thru humidity issues, ph issues, calcium/magnesium issues. A few issues due to not mixing super soil well enuff or let it cook enuff. I went from 5 gallon to 20 gallon at one month cause of root bound coming. I figure ill do what comes natural to me and her and i will work out the rest. She talks i listen. Great relationship!! Will get better pics.

Yah, i started doing that. Last 2 days i took off 10 handfuls of leaves and smaller onside buds. I hammered it with lights in early veg so it stayed short and with the LST it is extremely difficult to work in. First grow and i dove in. Supersoil, LST, 20 Gallon pot. Lotsa learning but i could not have asked for a better pupil. She has dealt with all my bumbles with no leaf burn never has she drooped. We overcame some issues together but she is strong. Will get better non pink pics with her somewhat cleaned up. Thanks for reply!!

Thanks for advice does my ego seem to be affecting my grow so far? This is why i left facebook...
I've seen your set-up/pics and made a comment regardless of that. Your plant looks good.

You want to show your plants off, I get it, but when nobody took interest (made harder by the fact you asked no questions to help people engage) your comment was impolite. People don't just line up here waiting to pat new growers on the back for having green plants. You could have took the angle that nobody replied to your post simply because what you were posting may have been boring. Maybe you bump the topic with a polite ''any comments guys''. If you got no response to that you would perhaps take it on board that your OP was in-fact boring and moved on (not saying it is). What you did instead, was called the site shit because how could it be good when it didn't take interest in your grow. I like this site so perhaps I got offended, but I apologise for that, partly with the explanation of why I posted such a vague comment.

Thanks man. That helps. And yes i was looking for a pat on the back. I apologize for any disrespect. You got it tho. Thank you!
Here is trichome production 9 days into flowering.
Hows it looking people?
Flowki, i forgot to mention i have 30 years landscaping/horticulture under my belt. Yes, it is first grow but i attempted once b4. 30 years ago. Got them to flowering and had to stop. WEBSITE DOES NOT SUK IM A BIG BABY

Ya looks good,no problem taking some inner leaves off and the small buds.Puts more energy to the top ones and allows some air to flow through.
I took your advice and cleaned her out. A lot. She thanked me, she looked so happy. The opposite of what thought would happen. She never drooped, purpling of fan leaf stems but was standing much straighter than b4 as to say thanks!! Idk

you're doing a great job keep it up and do not cut your buds off too early! The cut, dry, and cure is what can really turn a great batch into a bad batch.

I plan on long curing. Some up to six months. I bought a humidity controlled wine chiller for possible 2 year cure...Please dont stop with suggestions. It makes me think and i appreciate it!!

You have my respect for actually being willing to see others perspectives and not explode into a fit of rage like we have all seen happen so often.. honestly, your grow looks fantastic, your horticultural experience absolutely shows!! Keep her nice and healthy and for the love of bud, DO NOT HARVEST EARLY!!!

One of the worst issues when starting growing cannabis is thinking it’s ready when it would be extremely beneficial to leave for a week after many think it’s ready.. your product looks like it could be some absolute top notch smoke, as long as you let her finish in her own time, and give it a good dry and cure.. I am partial to full plant hang drying as it seems it’s nearly impossible to get stuck with the hay/grass smell many unfortunately end up with when trying to wet trim, dry to certain humidity, jar, burp, etc... in my experience, just hang the whole plant for 5-7 days in a room with some decent airflow, then another 5-7 days in a room with no airflow, then it’s ready to either clip, trim, and jar for long term storage and use, or even just put it into gamma seal 5 gallon buckets and then clip or trim as needed.

I have read soooo much confusing info on dry/cure, but EVERYONE who grows around me, is always trying to figure out exactly what I am doing... they all use Boveda packs, and burp jars several times a day, and honestly, spend like 3 to 4 times longer in the after care stages as I do, and can never seem to match the smell and stability of what I spend very little time on.

I also want to say, this is all simply what has beat worked for me and what it seems like several other good growers on these forums seem to advocate.. you may have a different experience. Regardless, great looking grow this far, and I hope you end up with some grade-A product!! Be happy and be safe
