A week or so ago a friend of mine was smoking a Camel Crush cigarette and offered me one. Usually I don't smoke cigarettes, but he told me to try it with the menthol filter. So I did and it was interesting. I enjoyed the cool feeling from the menthol. A few nights pass and while I was smoking a thought about how cool it would be to roll a joint with a menthol filter, just to see how it would taste/feel. Well, I decided not to do it because I didn't want to roll a joint, I usually smoke bowls. So I forgot about it until today, after I smoked a little. I decided to make a pipe that utilizes the crush filter.
I made a simple steam-roller out of a clear pen. I got the part the clips the pen to your shirt and I cut the part that goes inside oft he pen down and I put that over the carb. For the bowl, I took a plastic water bottle with a nipple lid and I ripped the nipple part, melted and electric taped it to a small part of a different pen tube that I cut up, and melted and electric taped the little plastic pen tube to the bowl hole I made in the main clear pen tube. I put foil in the bowl to protect it, taped it down to the outside of the bowl, and then I put a screen in. For the mouthpiece, I found some cheap cigars with little plastice mouthpieces. I pulled one off of a cigar and then I put a small layer of electric tape towards the top of the pen tube where the mouthpiece is supposed to connect. I grabed a crush filter and ripped a little off the top and bottom of the filter, to make it shorter, and a smaller amount off one side so it is slightly more narrow. Then I crushed the filter, put it 3/4 of the way into the pen tube, and I twisted the plastic moutpeice over the rest of the filter and part of the main pen tube until it was in place.
The pipe is airtight and can be used with or without a filter. Without the filter makes it like a steam roller, but if you use a filter and put the bottom piece of the pen that is solid in the carbhole so the carb is alwa blocked, then it is like smoking a joint witha filter. You can also easily change filters and mouthpieces.
As far as the menthol is concerned, it was interesting. It seemed like I could rip it hard because the menthol coll my throat, but then again the filter made it a little harder to suck. I like the way it made my mouth feel.
Has anyone else smoked herb with menthol before? How'd you like it?
