Spider Mites

Sometimes the simplest shit works well ....

I mix a 1:1 spray solution of rubbing alcohol to water and a couple drops of unscented dish soap .
The alcohol will evaporate quickly and kill them ON CONTACT. It will not harm the plants.
It’s a straight forward insecticidal soap that will kill a host of insect issues. During lights on , mites will shelter under leaves.
You can spray during lights on without issue.

When run into a mite issue ... I simply spray plants over and under during lights on and then again when lights off.
I continue this method for 3-5 day blocks as the mites eggs take around 3 days to hatch. You can scope plants to view
the carnage the alcohol spray reeks on them. Eggs will discolor , adults will shrivel up. After a week , you can mist off plants with
water to clean.

Lastly .... you can Bud wash at harvest ( dunk ) to free up and clean the bug corpses from your plants.

Not only can this spray be used on plants but also as part as grow room cleanup.
I also like the 1:1 mix, but I use 91% isopropyl instead. Like you said, it's instant death for the suckers. I also like how clean it is, and how fast it dries. I actually just sprayed a couple house plants today with it since I saw a few aphids. Good advice.

Great mix. Add an oil as a suffacant and some peppermint oil to scare more away.

yes .... aromatic oils are often found in so called homeopathic/ organic sprays .....

BUT I like the Alcohol mix because it kills and evaporates off quickly. The soap drops add better adhesion / surfactant. One time , I had it so bad / quickly .... webs and all .... went with 1:1 then straight alcohol spray 100% and wrecked those little fucks. I just had to mighty wash after. Saved some plants overall.

Another piece of info ( when you have mites ) :

When you chop and hang ....... if mites are STILL thriving a bit , they will move to the very top of cut stalk ( buds are hanging upside down to dry )..... then you can see the little shits. But , even after harvest ...... you gotta clean , clean , clean .....

Right, Plant Therapy is soybean oil, alcohol, a plant derived soap, sodium citrate, citric acid, and peppermint oil. It's A LOT of ISO and I squirted about a tablespoon on my patio and it burned after being lit with a BBQ lighter. More ISO can be added when it is diluted with water.

I have used something very similar for over a year but never included ISO. I'm working with a few formulation folks to come up with a simple, effective product that is safe enough to drink although you shouldn't
