40 degree swings are surely a sign of that low rh. And with these shorter days I bet the 94 isn't too bad.At 1530 it's partly cloudy, 94F with 36% humidity. Forecast low of 70F with 10% chance of rain tonight, and 20% tomorrow. 10 day high low of 94/56F with 0 days of possible rain.
That was the high and low over ten days, not one day. Most days have been in the 94/70 range.40 degree swings are surely a sign of that low rh. And with these shorter days I bet the 94 isn't too bad.
oh...that's bad. Didn't realize that was a 10 day range. Round here we get 40 degree swings late in summer ( 90-50). In times like that it's comfortable most of the day and only feels hot for an hour or two late in the afternoon. That was the high and low over ten days, not one day. Not as bad as 94 in July, but the Heat Index has still been a degree or two on each side of 100 most days this past week.
I almost let the fruit trees die with the hot dry weather. Might have lost one blueberry bush. Did lose a bunch of the orange trees in black pots.
It got down to 62F here this morning. Our coolest of the season so far. I slept at the camp. I started off with a blanket and down throw. About 3 o'clock I woke up freezing. Had to dig around and find a sweater and jogging pants to put on. I could have easily used my summertime sleeping bag and not got too warm.32 degrees has been hit several times so far but not below. I must be in the local banana belt.
Went backpacking down in the Trinity Alps this week. Camped at 7000' and got 1/8" ice in the water pot. I'm glad I brought my heavy sleeping bag.It got down to 62F here this morning. lol. I was raised here, so never really thought of it. But Google tells me. . . . . .nine states. You guys are all right angles and straight lines. How many states have "panhandles"? And no, I don't know the answer. I know Colorado doesn't.
Connecticut has a panhandle? Nebraska's is bogus, it's almost as wide as the rest of the state. Maryland's is 2 miles wide at one point! You panhandle people are squeezed by other states, it must be a little odd, almost like you belong to another state.lol. I was raised here, so never really thought of it. A panhandle, a narrow projection of a larger territory, can be found in the following nine states (from east to west): Connecticut, Maryland, West Virginia, Florida (pictured), Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Idaho and Alaska.
