I think Amos was suggesting that if you're having trouble getting seeds at a reasonable price, and lack selection, check out the online shops. They offer a wide variety of genetics, price and you should be able to find what you're looking for...
You guys living in the legal states dont know how good you got it! Wish I had access to clones... if you're in Cali maybe look at Mamafunk?

It's hard because in order to sell in a store you need to be a licensed retail grower. The demand for seeds is not as high as the demand for flower. There are only a few companies out there selling seeds legally and its treated the same as any other part of the plant, may as well grow bud with a guarantee to move it if you have a license to grow 10,000 plants.

There's Pacific Seed bank, I think they're in Santa Rosa, haven't ordered from them yet but going to give them a try. 40 bucks for 3 seeds and shipping is included. Not so much of a ripoff if their genetics are good. Cash, money order, or bit coin.

Have you tried Harborside in Oakland? They have cuts and might carry beans.
Mercy Wellness in Cotati carries clones and seeds.
If you want to driver further, I know Peace In Medicine in Sebastopol used to carry really nice genetics. They got bought out by Sparq you might want to call first.
If you want to drive really far, in Santa Cruz there is Kind People's dispensary and they carry cuts direct from Bodhi and usually have a bunch of his seeds too.

You're not going to find shit for seeds in norcal, and frankly, are wasting your time trying too. The seed game in cali is practically dead. Your best bet is to order online from reputable breeders and banks (DCSE, GLG, and JBC in alphabetical order) if you're wanting seeds. Clones, on the other hand, are a different story. And if you're wanting clones, then the Bay is where you need to be. Look into King Kone Brand, Midnight Farms Clones, Purple City Genetics, and Dark Heart Nursery for where they are having drops or where their products are. Those are going to be worth your time and your investment. Also, their sites are user-friendly so you can see what they have so you dont have to do a lot of leg work to find a clone you want. Im honestly not 100% sure on the laws; but realistically if you wanted to, im sure you could call a dispensary and ask them. If they are Rec, I dont think that you need a Cali DL or a med eval, just need to be over 21 and you should be good to go.
