Stalk split during bad storm...

We were hit by a bad storm last week while I was at work. I came home to see my banana kush split in half. I taped up the stem with duct tape, but now that some leaves are starting to turn light green, I'm guessing the split was fatal.

She's nowhere near harvest ready. Do I cut now and make butter, scrap the plant entirely, or let her continue to stand, and hope for the best?

All hope is not lost! I've split many stems, and my favorite method now is soft ties. Even bad splits can be healed. Duct tape will work the same, but I just prefer soft ties. I have one branch wrapped up in my flower closet now.

Here's one that split worse, but it didn't seem to affect the harvest.

The only thing you may see right now is an early ripening. IT used to be an old hippy way of doing things around here , people used to damage stocks to and im saying this loosley "push them into resin production" " Ive seen people drill holes in plants split them with knives (Bud Back building) I dont think it works but ALOT of people say it does.

Funny you say that. Today she's suddenly sparking with trichomes. She had zero visible yesterday.

That's what I think is happening tbh i mean it makes sense, cutting off nutes, the plant thinks its dying or needing to go into an aggressive rejuvenating stage and plumps up. the hairs will turn orange faster in the damaged areas also
