do you think a 3 gal fabric pot with coco and perlite would be sufficient for an 8 week veg and about 9 week flower time?
Why aren't you potting up? Start small and go to 3 gal at flower.do you think a 3 gal fabric pot with coco and perlite would be sufficient for an 8 week veg and about 9 week flower time?
I haven’t started, but trying to decide soil or coco. I have 3 gal fabric pots. I will prob start in plastic 1 gal pots then transplant to 3 gal a couple weeks before I send into flower. Why aren't you potting up? Start small and go to 3 gal at flower.
Coco will boost your growth rates for sure. If you really want to boost rates check out blumats. I've been using them for a couple months with coco and am still blown away at the growth rates. Not quite dwc rates but close. I have a blumat thread here, it's only a couple pages, but there's some info about them.I haven’t started, but trying to decide soil or coco. I have 3 gal fabric pots. I was kinda hoping to water about once a day in flower. 2 isn’t too bad either tho. Water then again maybe like 4 hours after the first watering.
I’m just needing to get some fast growth. Figured coco would be better than soil.
I was thinking about getting blue mats, but I would need a lot. I’m trying to fill a 10x10 tentCoco will boost your growth rates for sure. If you really want to boost rates check out blumats. I grow in coco for the most part.I was thinking about getting blue mats, but I would need a lot. I’m trying to fill a 10x10 tent
What is your preferred growing medium?
It can if you don't run clean nutes or do simple maintenance. I run a circulation pump in the res with enzymes that break down salt build up. They also keep the roots really healthy. If your going for speed hydro is fast af yet is more expensive. If it’s between soil or coco do both and see what you like best although most will say coco does grow plants faster because you can get more and exact amounts of nutrients to the plant. Moving on, I’m just did some five min research on blumats, never heard of them till now but I’m curious will a nutrient solution clog them?
I use flying skull z7, it's a two part enzyme that cleans equipment, roots, etc. Hydrogaurd in the res as well.Which enzymes do you use?
That's a plant per 2sqf, you might want to think about 2 gal pots.I’m thinking about having 48, 3 gal pots of coco.
I’m prob gonna need to set up a dripper or something like that. Lol
That would make 12 plants in a 5x5 area. I’ll be using vivosun hps 750-1000w for flower. Hopefully I can get about 1lb a light. That's a plant per 2sqf, you might want to think about 2 gal pots.
You want to be able to feed more often in coco, that's how you get production. I run 1 gal pots with minimal veg. This is why I mention the blumats, these things really shine with coco, all you do is keep the res topped off. And I use a pre mix coco, mother earth I think. And forget the super low ph in coco, in my experience 6.3 is the sweet spot. That would make 12 plants in a 5x5 area. I’ll be using vivosun hps 750-1000w for flower. Do you think 2 gal pots would be good enough with coco? I just didn’t want to get rootbound. I know coco is different that soil. I grew some plants in the 6 inch floraflex pots in coco. They did prettt good. Ended up watering about 3 times a day.
How many times in flower do you think I would be watering if I went with 2 gal fabric pots vs 3?
I’ll prob need to build a diy irrigation system tho just so it won’t be such a pain in the ass. Gonna be a drain to waste.
Also, which brand of coco do you prefer?
4-5 days probably, maybe 2-3 with 2 gals actually.Once in flower in 2 gal fabric pots, how many gallons do you estimate they will be drinking?
Do you think a 55 gal for 42 plants would be over kill? Under kill?
55 gallons for the week.
