need help live resin failure

Hey guys so I harvested a plant at a friends a couple days ago we froze it right away...the next day we packed a column with a dry ice sleeve in a small closed loop. Ran a couple cans of butane through it...we didn't let the butane soak for to long tho anyway we got barely anything at all I would have gotten 3-4x as much as from from buds that were dry and cured...so I am not sure what we did wrong??? I am wondering if we should have let the butane sit in the column longer? So looking for someone that's done live resin before to help out! we were going for a crystal type product like sauce or even biger diamonds if possible but the amount we got aint worth nothing! I am wondering if a different solvent like heptane would work better? Or worst case maybe we could make a bubble hash kinda product from it (never done that before) but willing to try ANYTHING as I really don't want to waste this plant!!! Please if you have any method to make a concentrate from a fresh frozen plant I would really appreciate the help!! Also will leaving it in the freezer for another 3-4 days make a difference? I ask because everything is at his house and I wont be able to get up there for a couple days and he really doesn't want to go at it alone....but if the bud will degrade in the freezer in a few days he will if he has to. Please guys if you can help me out like I said ideally we would like to make a sauce type or diamond type product but at this point willing to do any extract method not to waste the plant!! THANKS GUYS!!

Research before attempting...hard...not being a dick but as the saying goes...knowledge is power.
I'd say try bubble hash ....much easier.

Look at it this way .
That plant only has only so much essential oil in it. (For math lets say it has 100grams of oil )
Let’s say the plant weights 10pounds wet at chop. Still 100g of oil.
Now if we dry the plant , it now weights 2 -2.5 pounds , it still has 100g of oil.
The reason your getting 3-4 times more with dry is there is actually 3-4 times the material in the tube .

Run FF 24 hours after freezing,

Personally I’d make FF bubble hash, then press into rosin for live resin .

Yeh I get the idea of the weight....but its not like the size changes. meaning ok how to explain this ok so if I packed a column full of fresh bud...then say I didn't run it but took it out and dried it then if I was to re pack it then it would still fill the column you know what I mean? ok either way ill try and make some bubble hash with it....I couldnt dry this plant cause things are in a tent at my buddy's house (this is my first grow although like I said made bho and iso concentrate from dried many times) but I was going to use the tent to dry it as well to keep his house from smelling but this plant finished early so figured it would be better to try and run it fresh then when I harvest the others ill dry it in the tent...ill try the bubble has thing tho thanks guys

The size changes a ton what are you talking about

Really that much tho? I mean I knew it changed a bit but I didn't think it would be that much of a difference??? first grow guys like I said all my extractions were with dry bud...I figured it would shrink but not all that much

Once you have made the bubble hash, do you simply press it in a squish bag?
