20190901_084245.jpg I finally have a male CBD hemp plant. Problem is he was planted later than the rest of the flock. I am running out of daylight soon. He needs to get busy soon.

I tried drying and crushing but bananas are pretty immature.

*any tricks? LST or scrape branches?

Thoughts?

Bend a couple and snap them. It’s not like you’re going to cry if a branch died. Which it won’t.

Take cuttings ... cut 45° stem
Put in glass of water with pods hanging over edge.
Place glass on a mirror ( lay flat ) ...
NO fans

Cuttings will live for a while and pods will split .
Later ...hold top of glass with stem and gently tap it over mirror ... scrape and use or collect and store.

THANKS
I am getting burned out hand picking near ripe pods and hand pollinating with tweezers.. LOL.

Bent some branches in to a nearby female and stuck some in water.

Female CBD hemp soon to be momma

My urgency is pollinating some autoflowering CBD plants that want to start finishing now.

Whats the difference between hemp and cannabis? Anything besides THC? Is there already a link discussing hemp derived and cannabis derived CBD?

To my knowledge just generic diversity. Bred for different uses over time. Fiber, seed, or drug.

I wished their was an all things CBD forum area, while plants and growth are similar, harvest time for CBD may be different than for THC. Also processing and decarb times appear to be different. Many of the current photoperiod hemp plants out there are big. Some of mine are pushing the 14 foot ceiling in the greenhouse.

I came up with the idea of cutting the male branches and sticking them in the soil with the female to be pollinated. Seem to be working, give em a shake and the pollen rains down on the girls.

The male is a High Alpine Hemp freebie. Rhubarb Pie X ? It's a high cbd hemp plant.

The female is a high cbd/less than 1% thc autoflower from Buddha seeds called Medikit.

4 generations selecting for autoflower, I should have a new strain of non feminized autoflowering CBD plant with minimal THC. :)

(A first to my knowledge.) (Not a fan of feminized seed.)

That really looks too late to try and seed. Those seeds will be very immature, imo.
That is the oldest and already pollenized for a few weeks. But yes, you are correct it was quite far along. :( I gave it some fish emulsion and plenty of water, hoping to extend its life. I also worry that we are approaching less than 12 hours of light and cool dark weather post equinox.

The other two I am pollenizing are younger, one had white pistils mid flower the other in early flower. Essentially 3 age groups.

Hope I can get some mature seeds. Despite the timing.. thanks
