Limiting the grow time to 9-9.5 weeks?
Knocks the best shit right off the list.....
If you want to run production. Learn it yourself.....That's how all us old school's did...
I'll actually give you some real advice.
I suggest you invest in a lot more grow space!
Yeah, I know my limits definitely reduce my strain selection. I bloom 30 plants at a time in 7 gallon pots, and have a separate veg room that keeps my bloom room steadily filled as well as a small area solely for me to grow out un-sexed seeds. I really want to just grow out a large variety to see what works best, but I have 13 people I grow for, all with chronic or terminal Illnesses, ranging from MS to a nasty glioblastoma and several cancers.. I’m fortunate enough to not need to sell the product, But to provide what I need to, I have to harvest 3 plants weekly and have a dry 4-5 ounces minimum of non-larfy bud from each.
So my system is basically chopping 3 plants per week, averaging 5 ounces on the alright yielding ones. I donate 13 ounces a week which often leaves little to none for me and my family, which I am okay with, but would much rather have a solid list of strains to run through that will allow me to continue to hit my numbers. I try to cycle through strains atleast semi-regularly as most of my donation recipients get very excited about trying new/different stuff, and while I can do much for them, I try to give them something to look forward to occasionally.
Honestly, I’ve taken a few more patients than may should have, though sadly I know the number will be one fewer before Halloween.. regardless, I live in a very tough area to get good product and it’s been hard for me to say no.. I’ve went from 6 plants in bloom, to 12, to 22, to 30, and have now run out of expansion space.. so my only option is to stop running all strains I get trying to find Genetics that will provide what I need and try to figure good choices out beforehand.
I suppose my other option could be to use the area I currently use to grow out regular seeds for sexing purposes, and instead use it to grow a few autos.. it’s a 2 foot by 6 foot area with 5 X 75 watt cobbs(citizen I believe) so I could fit a good 4-5 mid sized autos I would think.. but I’m doing this, I would have nowhere to really grow out and keep my un-plants and would make it difficult to run through new strains in my normal bloom room.
Lastly, I could run Femenized seeds, but to me atleast, it seems like most of the beater breeders don’t seem to deal with fem gear much so it really tends to limit the selection.. anyhow, sorry for such long post, just wanted to share some details and see if anyone could chime in with some thoughts or opinions that may help! Happy growing all
