out of curiosity whats the reason for using the wet paper towel?

dont dry your buds in the oven people weed taste and smells better with time... you can dry them in a brown paper bag in the sun this way they dry and dont have to worry about mold... drying them in the oven will give them a harsh smoke,,,whats the rush? if the temp is to hot it can turn un process thc to unwanted chemicals which is something you dont want if you plan on sellin it or just want the best buzz... Dont do it!!!

what ever. do it slow its just fine for a quick dry. way better then the microwave..

The microwave method works fine and as a matter of fact I am high as fuck right now with some kush I just dried in the microwave. I wrap it in a wet paper towel, set the power to 50% and on 15 seconds and off 15 seconds. In about 2 minutes (microwave time) its ready.

man when i cant wait i put it on defrost lowest setting for 3 minutes , stop it at min and half take out for 5 min let cool down then last min if needed not as tasty but heck i cut a piece 2 weeks early no flush yet (all FF) and it still tastes ok and burns ! no joint blunt,pipe,or bong! gud luck 2 you!

Well it would obviously dry the bud out, but the whole point in slowly drying and curing is so that the bud can release its moisture nice and evenly. The drying process is when the THC is converted from its acidic non-psychoactive form to its neutral psychoactive form. SO... while ovens and microwaves will dry your buds out, be prepared to have some shitty smoke compared to what it could have been.

i am so tired of people and there bullshit about how you cant get high off off a 5- 6 week old plant,or how oven drying doesn't work.I cut immature buds all the time and oven dry always , and my bud is some of the stoniest weed you have ever had, and most of the time its bag seed! lol These dorks on hear treat weed like there is sooooooooo much you have to do and buy to grow good shit and i am living proof that you canb get bomb weed with cheap supplies and a lil love

a proper cure is the way to go...potency increases, flavor increases and burn quality increases....

i have done it tho....set your oven to 130-150..my ovens lowest is 170 so i crack the door and with a thermometer i find where 150 is....usually right next to the hinge on the door. keep rotating the weed till the desired moisture is reached. a tin foil tray/cookie sheet can be used to contain large amounts, just remember to turn every 5 minutes.

I'm heating up my oven right now to dry some immature weed. I read in this thread it will turn out stoney as hell. And that nasty taste? Just cure it for awhile and it will become even more potent. I read it in this thread so it must be true.

One thing I do is take the lowest nugs and trim, and cut up into smaller nugs. Comes out to about a bowls-worth. Let those chuncks dry for 24 hours, and I can get a taste that way.

Other than that, why bother?

i was at some dudes house years back and he put some moist bud in the oven for an odd amount of minutes and when he took it out i was actually suprised it worked..does anyone know exactly how to do this? wrap it in tin foil? broil? how long? anybody do this

Lowest heat possible, I put it on my heat matt overnight. Just to sample. Nothing like a PROPER DRY

Love old dead threads. If you must quick dry, break up the bud, put it in a paper bag in your car or truck in the late afternoon. Leave it over night with windows cracked. Should be dry enough by morning to burn in a bowl. If you are that low on bud, you shouldn't be smoking joints anyway.
