why is my ph in dwc always going down so much?

I put my E.C to about 1.0-1.2 and within a coupe days it's down to 4.5 from 5.8-6.0. The plants look fine but I know that's not good. No root probems they're white. I'm using GH maxi series with most of the additives

Using air stones creates carbonic acid as CO2 in the air bubbles reacts with your water. That's why the pH drops. If you run a RDWC with waterfall oxygenation you won't have that issue.
I've read that many times but I actually never experienced that, mine was always pretty stable keeping the EC the same, if anything it drifted up.

GH Maxi drops the pH considerably. It's what I use, and I offset it around 1ml/gallon pH Up to balance it. You'll have to determine how much to add when you mix your nutes.

You can throw her in pH'd RO for a day or two and let it flush.. Iv'e had luck resetting like that. Then I start back 1/4 strength and watch my numbers. When your moving in the right direction, bump up PPM 50 at a time.
But you have to keep your water temps in check...

We don't know what you are using for water but it must not have enough buffer in it. The EC could be a little high, higher than I run.

Hugh ph swings point towards bacterial infection. I run DWC and a RDWC at 500-800ppm in veg and 1000-1300 in bloom with no problems. It’s not your airstones. If your ppm is changing a lot too maybe it’s just what your plant is eating out of the water but even when my plants are eating 80-100ppm per day out I don’t have much more then a .2-.3 swing. Are you running a sterile system? UC roots etc? If not, that would be another indicator to me that maybe it’s an infection, even though ur roots are still white. Lots of floaty stuff in your Rez?

Your nutes are off the charts. Are you sure you have a grow? In hydro, anything above 750ppm, or so, is bound to start burning the plants. That can cause problems with the roots, not to mention nutrient lockout.

I’ve been growing Hydro since 2007. So I’m no grand master but I know my shit and what I’m saying is true and backed up by many many grows of mine.

If it works for you, then yes, I'm wrong. I've always got burning whenever I'm above 750ppm.
I ramped up to 800 ppm at the end of week 5 veg no issues. I am just about 900 in week one flower, I have a tiny hint of tip burn here and there but that's it.

It also really makes a difference if we're talking 500 scale or 700 scale.
I am using 500 but really the industry should shift gears as a whole to ec (sometimes x1000). We would be better off, less confusing.
