no insulation in garage?

I live in the high desert and the temps get too 100+ pretty much everyday during summer my question is if I run a 36k mini split with 6k double ended lights do you think I will run into tempature issues due to no insulation? The garage is sealed off with drywall and caulking though.

You most definitely will. That size mini split is also right at the minimal size for that many lights unless you run air-cooled hoods as well. I would also make sure you have 10 ft ceilings. Mine are that height and I still had radiant heat issues. Those DEs need to be at least 3 ft from canopy. Air will not cool radiant heat. If I were you, I would use board insulation and switch to LEDs . Like a nice DYI cob or strip grow light. Yes LEDs heat up, but they don't produce radiant heat.

im not talking about radiant heat though , im just talking about the whole room in general and my ceiling is probably about 10 ft as well.

do you think it would be necsissary to go and insulate the whole garage to keep it at around 75-80 degrees during flower ? keep in mind the garage has a room built in it with drywall thats sealed shut

switching to leds isnt really an option at the moment . do you think its a waste of time to even set up without putting in the insulation? ive never had problems in just sealed rooms before .

Yes, use board insulation. I would also up that mini to a 36k BTU at least. Other shit will put a lot of heat off as well, like your dehumidifier and co2 generator. for a grow that size you will probably need a commercial dehumidifier if it's sealed. Like a Quest.

my apologies it is already a 36k btu mini , we ran it with 8 double ended's the reason we closed up shop is cause the place we were at the overhead was too much, and alright ill take a look into it. if its super complicated might just say fuck it and put up another green house

No, mine already had insulation inside the walls and ceiling.. I just covered them with panda film.
i know this sounds dumb but were gonna try to just run it without the insulation. and when next summer comes around if we have problems add it then. gonna hope the room built inside the garage is enough

it's your grow, do what you see as fit. I wouldn't, but that's me.

i just dont see how a completely sealed room could be affected so much without insulatiuon esp with a 36000 btu mini split constantly feeding into it.
and to be fair i really dont know if they added insulation or not is there anyway for me to check without tearing up my wall?

Just knock a 1 inch hole in it and you will see it. You can patch it up with spackle. Is your knowledge of home repair limited? I don't know if you live in a legal state or not, but those skills are a must. Paying people puts you at risk. Lack of electrical knowledge is the most dangerous

I live in a legal state im not worried about that . i would have somebody come out for the electrical but the drywall and insulation is definitely a do it yourselfer with a little bit of elbow grease.

At the very least I would paint those walls with a bathroom gloss or cover it with panda film, otherwise you will get mold and ruin them, possibly make your self sick as well.
