Ever try megacrop?
Ive tried a few of the expensive ones but at the time i was 40% soil using Coco Base so that didnt work out . Used the most expensive stuff : Complete Crappoponics Wicked rip off, "Food Grade BS" in CoCo n was yellow rhe whole way threw. Veg+Bloom=Defficencies too.
To be fair i haven't tried the better lines like H&G in Coco the right way. I heard growers doing well with that & mad Mag

Mega crop is pretty cheap. You could give it a try they have a 300g sample bag for shipping costs
Greenleafnutrients.com
Supposed to be an all in 1 Nute. Some people have great success some people don’t. I currently use it and I do have to supplement cal/mag so not really all in 1 for me but I still like it Some people under led don’t supplement anything and get along fine

Thnx but my buddy tried it n told me its not worth the risk. Im looking for 100% guaranteed answers from guys whov already figured it all out. Hopefully someone growing bigg plants can help cuz the little one are a breeze.
Upping EC on the big plants jist gives me defficencies with tip burn. Haha.
Anyways This is not the place for this topic. Thnx tho!

Oh those coco and soil mixes are the worst... Helping someone with a grow, who insisted on trying the same shit from two manufacturers.
Both are fuck ups in my opinion.

Youre not to smart. Just cuz one guy has a problem under his DE for whatever reason doesn't mean that negates the 100's or thousands that know exactly what I'm talking about.
Its me, sure is. I constantly try to sabotage myself so to waste my time & money. After all, who needs a real life, or to care for their kids. Aw, no id rather fight my garden day in n day out.
Will try another nute & media.
One day im known for burning my plants, next day im known for defficencies. Hu, i wonder why that is???
Do u even grow dude?
Understand man, im not trying to sway anyone away from led. Only sharing my experiences & trying to get past it luke i see some others have.
Anyone who thinks im full of shit, i challenge you to grow in CoCo under whatever your old nute line was. Document it. If you have to add mega Mag or P or both, let us know, raise lights, or foliar feed to prevent yellowing leaves in flower, pls, let us know. Cuz these are just some of the several changes I've had to make to prevent this issue.
Ultimately i will switch to hydro or Pro-Mix (which means soil A+B Bases n prob not an all in one (meaning hydro, soiless, or soil) nute line like the TechNaFlora i use now or the Dyna-Gro i just started using.
The comp plants will be fine im sure Its the others I'm worried about.
Botainicare cocogrow is a easy coco to use haven’t had any issues with yellowing or salt build ups,

Proudly and happily using SPM in North America. I grew up where Sphagnum Moss is native and seen both peat and moss harvested since I was a kid. In Europe it is used for heating and cooking which uses incredible amounts. That is not the case here and the Norther Tier states and Canada have millions of acres full of it. It also comes from a living bog which will regrow after peat is removed.

I do however value it as a resource and am constantly recycling mixes and eventually it gets mixed with compost and castings for containers of ornamentals outside. Use about 3 or4 cubic feet a year.

Our family would go pull moss itself for putting in houseplants and the Nightcrawler box.

I experimented with Coco and determined Hillbill was not going to learn a whole new medium that seems temperamental at the start.

Peat is formed by decomposition and accumulation process of plant materials that grow on the land which is influenced by dry and wet season period. Peat formation occurs in a long period with the formation rate of about 1 mm per year (Charman, 2002), which means 1 m deep peat needs 1000 years to form. Not to mention the natural pH of peat is around 4.9 pH.

I really don't care what preference you have for your grow medium, there's advantages and drawback to all of them.

Hard to live and “leave no trace”, Canada values their bogs and a very small amount is allowed to be harvested. Compost helps but SPM has some unique qualities.

Back to subject, sorry all.

I would reason that we will see more viable options in the future simply because of all the imagination and resources focused on recycling and repurposing. Love both and just ran recycling bin UP to the road.

Cotton Burr Compost from Back To Nature is highly recommendable says Hillbill. Accept no other! A bit hotter but awesome and always the same. Using for many years and goes into every mix always.
