Color was cool in the 50's, (iphone) it communicated without additional art work, without it judging by the other figures the next option have been to add pig-tails and a straw-hat to the child in order to show a difference. This would have been the least racist graphic of the day.

Oh no it’s political too. It’s damned sure political. Remember how concerned Trump and Pompeo and Bolton were regarding the horrible human rights abuses being perpetrated in Venezuela? Ready to rush in to alleviate their suffering as they overthrew Maduro and . . . nothing. Heard of Venezuela lately? Africa where large numbers of people truly are terrorized by much smaller groups of militants. Rape, kidnapping, murder. Hear anyone in this country ever say anything about helping the poor mofos? You won’t either because it’s not politically advantageous. Hell most of the wealthy would probably love all people of color to go back where they or their ancestors started out.
