I was doing a little LST 2 days ago on my White Widow (30 days old from seed now). Apparently I was a litt heavy handed when tied her down and didn’t notice until today that the top has broken. There is some of the stock still attached and the top is still happy looking and bending up towards the light. Do I try to save it by: Just leaving it alone? Try to repair it (how best)? Top it the rest of the way maybe just above the break and use as a clone?

I would have taped it right after, but since you didn’t know...see how it plays out. If you see anything adverse just complete to topping.

Yes when I bent the stock over and secured her I checked the bend to make sure it still had some give and she seemed ok. Obviously I put more stress than intended and some time later ...snap...grrrrrrr.

Question, did you get any increased growth on the lower branches?
It appears that that is happening which was my intention in LSTing in the first place. I was trying to get some light to the new branches at each node by exposing them ..that plant is thick/dense like a friggin cabbage

Looking at the density of your plant, I would say the new lower growth is due to hormonal shift from the stress break you caused.

I've broken plants staking them down. If the break is bad, tape works wonders. If not, just prop it up and nature will do the rest. I'm in the bush, so I just cut an oak limb with a fork in it to keep the broken limb off the ground. Most of the time, by the next week it is already growing up again.
