How are they looking guys?I know they are a little close to one another this go around I dident expect them to blow up this fast:shock::hump: Im planning on caging the plants next week when I get paid,I'm also having bug problems, catapillars,aphids,leaf hoppers, all typa bullshit lol can anyone recommend a good solution? I have tried captain Jack's dead bug brew, among a few others with no success. These are mama mia, and chem 91"from hso seeds. Any input is appreciated.bongsmilie:leaf:

BT for caterpillars, insecticidal soap (ie Safer's) for aphids and leafhoppers. The leafhoppers will need to be sprayed directly to kill them. Those two have worked for me. I can't use the BT anymore since my sister is using my garden to raise monarch caterpillars.
You should be prepared for a lot of suggestions for neem oil. I've never used it but since everyone else seems to think it works well it probably does. It's supposed to leave a residue that kills or keeps away bugs. Just whatever you use spray at dusk or dawn.
 
Ok awesome thankyou for the input! Yeah I hear about neem oil alot,yet to try it though.i released 3000 lady bugs but they seemed to eat a bug or two and just leave :wall: so they weren't much help. :bigjoint:happy growing
 
Neem is good as a preventive in veg, but you need to stop using it by 2nd week of flower. The trick is to keep the moths off so you don;t have to deal with bud worms. But once you have them, BT is the way to go. Get a bottle off Amazon. {Don;t mix up large batches, it's only good for 24 hours once mixed}

A lot of bud rot is caused by the worms shitting on the inside of the buds as they are growing. A sign of one is a dead leaf on an otherwise green bud. If you see that, separate the bud and see if you can see a worm.
 
When you release a bunch of lady bugs at once they won’t stick around. Try releasing 30 at a time in the evening. They did wonders for me until the food was gone!

Going into flower in the next few weeks s ok I guess neem is not an option for me, thanks for the heads up! BT it is for the win:weed::blsmoke:

I know. It doesnt hurt them at all though. I released 3000 yesterday. Some flew off before i could spray them. Should release at night too when the garden is freshly watered. They wont fly at night and they are thirsty when you release so the water will help keep them hydrated. Ive heard of people putting saucers with some gravel and water underneath the plants. They can crawl on the gravel and get a drink whenever they are thirsty. BT for the caterpillars for sure. When i had aphids i would wash off the plants with a strong(not too much) blast of water. It helps wash off aphids and their white secretions which ultimately turns to a black sooty mold. If you have ants hit them with some Terro ant baits. Ants farm aphids. Good luck
